If I have a standard knob and deadbolt, do I need to order a separate knob to operate this deadbolt??

You only need the existing door knob as the Kwikset will service as your deadbolt.

When it is locked, is the interior side locked as well? I have a glass back door and I want both sides to be engaged when locked.

When this lockset be locked , the interior side be locked as well. When you be in interior side, you can turn the button to open the door, too

It unlocks , but won't lock, what am i missing?

All you need to do to lock is push the top button and it will lock. Don't need a code or anything...
