La Roche Posay Cicaplast Soothing Repairing Balm B5-40 ml (Pack of 1)

My skin is extra dry and I love the feeling that this balm gives me. I noticed that the regular b5 balm seems to have a different formulation compared to the one that is called “soothing therapeutic” and so I have specifically bought this one because I love the texture. I like going to bed with the thick layer on top of all my serums and retinol.

This has been an absolute lifesaver since I started using tretinoin. My skin has been so much more sensitive, and this cream has really helped protect my skin barrier and calm down dryness and irritation. It feels soothing right away and is gentle enough that I never worry about it making my skin more reactive. The tube is on the smaller side, but a little truly goes a long way. I probably used way too much at first because you do not need much at all to get good coverage. Once I realized that, I could see how this tube would last much longer than I expected. I also love that it is versatile enough to use for more than one purpose. It is gentle enough to even use on diaper rash, which says a lot about how mild and skin-friendly it is. This has definitely earned a permanent place in my skincare routine, and I would absolutely buy it again.

No, there are plenty of moisturisers in the market, but if you are specifically want this product to repair your skin barrier, it will do that.
