I used this swing for 2 kids( not at the same time) ages 3 and 7, both of average weight. The metal loop broke when my 3 year old was in it, thank God he wasn’t hurt but it was definitely scary and he could have been seriously hurt. The swing was great up until this happened yesterday afternoon. If you are going to buy it, please check it periodically. The weight limit says 100 pound capacity so I thought I was well out of the danger zone, I guess not. **Q: How do you install the ceiling nut that it comes with? The instructions are terrible.** A: It will be different for everyone. For me, it was extremely difficult, but possible. I installed it on my second floor and was able to go into the attic above the room and put the nut on from the top. You must find a 2x4 in the ceiling, drill a hole all the way through it, then access the bolt from its exit point to screw on the nut from above. If you don't have an attic or cannot see or access the ceiling above where you want to mount it then return it immediately. Also, I had to purchase a new bolt because the one it came with was too short and the threads didn't make it through the 2x4. **Q: Can the hardware be drilled into exposed rafter beams in a basement? Can someone explain how, please? Instructions are terrible.** A: Yes you can drill directly into the rafter beams. We didn't use the hardware provided by the company we went to Lowe's and bought better stuff. **Q: What is the height from the base to attachment point (not including rope)? Minimum height?** A: I'd say about 5-6 feet. I can tell you exactly tomorrow, it's outside in the shed because it's raining. But I'm pretty sure... with the base on the floor and me holding it up it was a little bit over my head so closer to 6 feet.
