There wasn't too much to be overwhelming, but you definitely got something out of the study each day. The study is set up to run 7 weeks, with 4 "assignments" per week. These include reading some pages in the study, as well as some Bible passages and responding to questions that really make you think or dig deeper into the scripture. At the end of the week there is "group time" where you would hopefully get together with others doing this study and talk about what you learned that week.Overall, the book is a flexible, soft paperback cover with thicker pages. The images used throughout the book are very much geared to a more modern woman. Someone I picture in my head to be between early 20's - late 30's. :) Also, as someone who is married but has no children, I did not feel like this book weighed heavy on the "mom/motherhood" side of things like a lot of books for women do. I'm grateful for that! Since starting (and now completing) this study, I've recommended it to a few of my other Christian girlfriends. I'm also pretty sure that I'll pull this book back out in a year or so and I'd be able to get something different from this study. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Basic study for Bible newcomers *by D***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2017* We chose this study for our summer women's ministry and have about 30 women participating. We chose to use the entire study for discussion during the 2 hours we allotted for our meeting time. Discussions are lively! Found some of the questions during group times a little redundant from week to week, and daily ones a little too basic for women who are already familiar with the Bible. Group facilitators have been challenging themselves to add some deeper discussion and application questions for those looking for a bit more depth. We have been encouraging all of our women to embrace the wonderful glimpses into the character and glory of God as they search the Scriptures. As the authors say in week 3, both emotions AND intellect are to be engaged during the study of God's Word. God is being glorified and women are coming to love Him more. I'd say that is indicative of a good study, despite some of the shortcomings. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Bible Study *by M***C on Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2016* Great Bible Study! My small group did this study and I got a lot of positive feedback from all the girls. It really spoke to all of us. We liked that it encouraged us to open our Bibles instead of our phones and it helped some of the girls that felt intimidated by studying the Bible on their own. It was good for all our different "levels" of spiritual maturity - we all got a lot from it! The homework was very doable for the group of moms with little ones, but at the same time we were able to dig deeper if we had time. We did not do the optional videos - just the workbook.
