It's a battery. It holds charge and works and most importantly makes the red warning light go away
The replace battery warning came on after a self-test. This is a replacement for that battery. It works. Not sure what else to say about it other than it was a huge PITA to get the old one out. You'd think it would just slide straight out easily but no. It catches about 1/4 of the way out and again about 3/4 of the way out. It required some secret handshake - down and out then up and out to extract the old battery. Not a fan of that setup. The battery is HEAVY - it's not like it's just going to come shooting out of the UPS if it has an unimpeded straight path out. Anyhow, the battery is installed and working and the red light is out so all is good.

Stopped working within two weeks
Received this item on 8/2, did not install until a week later. At install all worked as we thought it should, the about two days later it was alarming again as it did before. Checked alarm statues and it said battery needs replacing.. At this time I am unsure if the battery is actually bad or if there is possibly a problem with the unit itself. Anyway, found out it is non-returnable for safety reasons. Thought that was kind of weird as it is apparently ok to ship it to any one anywhere. Not very happy with purchase.

ups days this battery needs replacing
installed cleanly but immediately got a trouble message that battery needs replacement. is there a reset button, or is this battery bad? i will give it a few days, then return

APC Battery Module Problem
My company recently ordered this item. It was direct shipped to a remote location. The personnel reported back the unit reported no battery when it was swapped in. They removed it, opened it up, and found the batteries were not connected. I asked if there was any documentation about having to connect the batteries. They said no. They restored the internal connection, re-installed the module, and the UPS now reports no errors. It is supposed to me a genuine APC replacement module but this experience makes me skeptical.

only buy real APC batteries like this to replace a failed battery. Works like a champ.

Took a bit to show up but works
Decent replacement when the OEM dies. I'd fully recommend this battery.
