Probably. I bought mine to protect my new, thin MacBook Air when I put it in a backpack. I think your laptop should survive almost all crashes.

That's an airflow question? With my Surface Studio Laptop, I wouldn't, snug fit. With a smaller laptop or pad, may be okay. Keep the air flowing!
