Purchased These February 17, 2014. Safe to say I've got some use out of them since buying. First off, Scale. They are Gorgeous. Really would love these on a scale build, however, mine isn't for scale. That brings me to my next point, These have to have the worst possible springs known to man. I've tried the 10wt Oils like I've used in the past in my stock shocks, and even 30-40wt. still bouncy, the springs that come with these look scale but the rates aren't right for my rig. my SCX10 has had Wheels weights and no weights since owning these, I've moved the Battery forward to help when I run Rock Comps at my LHS. I've got a Heavy bumper and battery up front and it still hops. Let's get to my next issue, after 1 run (Filled to the correct level, I've been into RC's for years and had plenty of experience with basic and advanced servicing) They leak, after a good decent hour or so run all the fluid escapes. My next issue is I've tried reducing the spring Preload so much I've lost the Spring caps that retain the spring. and it's still hoppy. Overall I'm not happy with these at all, and I'll probably end up Getting prolines or even factory shocks again. Maybe if your rig is all show no go, but for me. I enjoy driving, and these don't help you crawl well. I wish I would have stayed stock to be quite honest. 2.5 out of 5 for me. Sorry RC4WD. I wanted to like them

I bought these for a scale Jeep Comanche build I am working on on an Element Enduro Senduro chassis (SCX10 II standard). These shocks are gorgeous but finicky to set-up. Once set-up right, they perform like a 5 star shock, but right out of the box they perform like a 2 star shock. I found a video on YouTube by The Crawl Space that showed the best way to set them up. It involved using differential oil instead of shock oil, since it's heavier, and putting a groove in the cap threads to better help them bleed, and let me tell you these shocks run sooooooooo smooth and sooooooooo consistently after following that video. I would give them 5+ if they ran well out of the box and didn't require nontraditional set-up and a little extra elbow grease, but with their very nice aesthetics and once you get them set-up correctly, I would argue they are some of the best RC crawler shocks on the market.
