Makes a loud beeping noise when on, doesnt mention whether this can be switched off? Doesnt seem that it can, very annoying. Would be much better without constant beeping noise. One cannot use it discreatly .

I bought this for my toenail. It has a very mild fungus that I would like to be rid of with minimal input on my part. This does have a small area that the light reaches, very small. Like perfect size for my 2nd toe which is small (I call it the ring toe). This has a timer of up to 4 minutes. It annoyingly beeps each second during the countdown to zero. I had laser applied by a doctor 15 years ago to another toe and it was hundreds of dollars, so for $35ish, in the convenience of my own home and when I feel like doing this, I will try and see if this can fix it. I will do this for 15-20 minutes a day for a week or so then then I will wait it out. Toe nails grow extremely slow, so it may be a while before I am back with an update.So I read where someone stated this was a blue led light in addition to a uv light. That is what made me think of doing this. Blue LEDs will kill bacteria. I have used blue leds for acne with excellent results. I also used a tooth whitening mouthpiece with blue leds that killed my morning breath and cleared my tongue. (I did not use the gel, only the lights) So, I am hopeful. I just do not have the patience to topically apply anything twice a day for 4 months.......One last thing I want to add about this item is that it is battery operated and rechargeable with the micro usb cord included, no brick. This will work when attached with the cord while it is charging. I will try this on a small wart as well and update that too. Prior attempts at freezing were unsuccessful.UPDATE: Well, this worked for my toenail, but not my wart. I'm pleased though because my toenail was thick for years. It now is now back to normal and is no longer yellowish colored. This is a win for me.
