The oem part number shown in product information 17801-38040 is not the correct lexus part number for the 2013 gs350. is it wrong?

O.E.M. Original Equipment Manufacturer establishes the original Part number. ECOGARD is not the original part manufacturer so they use a different Part number. But if you notice the description says" filter fits lexus GS350 3.5 L 2013 - 2019, IS250 2.5L 2014-2015", Because a lot of filter company's make many kinds of filters for many different cars . if you google search your part number they will also show parts compatible with yours but different makers . look up the other cars filters and see if they match yours . if so your on the right path.

Are you supposed to peel the foam layer off the bottom and if so are you supposed to take the glue off as well
