You would need an adapter which can receive power. This monitor is made to connect to a laptop and draws power on the usb c cable from the computer. Such adapters are available in amazon

Is this compatible with iPad?

Yes, with a wired connection from the iPad although I wouldn't recommend this product as the product quality is terrible and customer support is lacking big time! Honestly a waste of money and time.

Can we connect with iphone using lightening usb c cable?

You can connect type-c cable to iphone. It seems to me that there is a problem on the iPhone side. You will need to install the program.
