Damaged threads? Just would not seal, requested return credit.
One end appeared to be damaged in shipping. I tried to correct it with a 1/2 tap to straighten the threads. It took too much and my tap bottomed out due to their oversize threads. While testing it with leaking fittings, I found the valve does not close off in the opposite flow direction. It opens on energizing and flows in the intended direction only when powered on, but when off it allows flow in the other direction. I am not clear as to why this happens, but a flow check valve would be required and does not seem right to me. What would I know, I am just a very old license mechanical engineer. The valve came with Chinese instructions only.

1/2 inch pipe Threads are wrong
The taper of the 1/2 inch pipe thread are wrong. 1/2 inch pipe or adapters bottom out and leak. Depending on the pressure of your application the 1/2 inch pipe inlet and outlet may be usable by using more than usual teflon tape or pipe sealer. The valve itself seem to be good quality.

Great item for your swimming pool
I hooked this up on my swimming pool and put it on a timer different times during the day to add water and also turn my pump on and I don’t have to be out there for five times a day

Good for filling the pool
I had a bad habit of turning on the fill valve of my pool an forgetting about it after a couple. So i installed this valve with a 0-60 minute countdown switch and it works beautifully. If I had one complaint it would be the speed at which it opens and closes, its so fast it causes water hammer but being outside its not much of a big deal with PEX piping and PVC. I've had it for about a month and no issues yet.

Size was correct fit.

Not NPT threads
Was going to use this for a plumbing issue however the pipe threads are not tapered (NPT) so did not risk it. Brass male adapters would not go in far enough to give a solid connection. Did not want a leak so had to return them.

Worked great
Used to convert a flux core welder to a gas shielded welder. Works great for the gas solenoid. By a couple of adapters while your here
