You need a hardened steel hammer for hard rocks. Drop Forged is meaningless unless it is also hardened steel. Take my advice, spend the money on a true hardened steel hammer. I ordered this one and it was so poorly forged that I returned it right away. It was a long way from "precision" so I'm also guessing the steel is a long way from "hardened". **Q: Will this rock pick tunnel through my wall in under 20 years?** A: It depends on which end of the hammer you use. I suggest the pick, or the hammer, but not the handle. **Q: Is this food die shaping raw crystals?** A: Its a rock hammer.
