Our Alien spacecraft came standard with the average circular arrangement of lights you typically see in unexplained photos of the sky and "UFO'S". We knew we needed more lighting in space when traveling behind ...a large moon perhaps. This light fit the bill with only one small problem: When we installed these lights into the wiring harness our cruise control did not work and we had to manually fly our craft (UFO) the entire 52.5 years at a reduced speed of light setting as it affected our warp speed on the same circuit also. We did get the wiring straightened out with a devoted fused circuit and our alien space ship flies normally now. Draw backs are however, we took it back to the alien dealership we bought it and because we had modified the orig. wiring harness our ship is out of warranty. Second because we are now 52.5 years older we have gone beyond warranty time even though not mileage (typical 300,000,000 miles). Leaving the dealership we felt they should have covered other issues brought in for anyway so we hit em' twice with the small lazer mounted on the bottom of our craft. He Heh.Other than that this is a great purchase and will buy from this company again. My wife and I both give this purchase two tentacles UP! **Q: will this work on a snow blower with gen. capabilaty** A: One of these works great on an old 8HP Tecumseh Murray snow thrower. The stator power rating on on this model only supports one 18 watt light however. I also rectified the output of the pigtail and added a 1000uf cap across the output. Boosts light output and eliminates flicker. RMS Average wattage drawn goes up a bit but well within the stator's rating. Note: this Snowthrower doesn't have a battery and 12VDC starter, The original stator pigtail was only for a an incandescent AC headlamp on "higher end" models circa 1998..... **Q: 2 questions do these have any sort of warranty for the front glass? Can these be wired to factory fog lights as a replacment?** A: Hello sir I wouldn't recommend using the factory wiring for the leds unless you wire a block with the leds so it doesnt mess with your headlights I had problem's with my vehicle I wired some leds with my factory wiring harness and I would be driving down the road and my headlights would just quit working and after replacing several headlight switches I wired them on them on there own wiring harness to prevent my problems ever since then they have worked great! **Q: Can you use them on the streets? In california?** A: You'll have to check your local laws. Laws vary not just state to state, but also county to county and city to city. To start off I will say that I highly recommend sealing the lens of these, mainly on top and bottom. Mine had about 1/8" void between the black casing and the lens. Not saying they would have leaked or gotten moisture in them but I would personally rather not take the chance. The packaging was a plain brown box and the lights themselves were in foam surrounds so I don't believe that under normal circumstances anything could happen to them. The lights themselves, other than that small void that I fixed with clear silicone, seemed very sturdy and the wiring was good quality also. I installed one set on my wife's Chevy Tahoe and the other set on my 08 Civic coupe. The install on hers was extremely quick and easy because she had existing factory fog lights that were destroyed and all I had to do was splice these into the factory wiring and mount them. I did have to purchase a wiring kit to install these on my Civic but it was still fairly easy to do with a little bit of knowledge. As far as performance I couldn't be happier. I was afraid that they would be too overpowering to oncoming traffic but they are not at all. They are very bright and add just the right amount of supplemental light to my factory headlights. In a pinch they are bright enough that I could drive with them alone. They light up signs and eyes of animals from a very long distance which pays for itself. *One thing I would like to clarify is that with this mounting bracket it is possible to mount them with the mounting bolt BEHIND the light instead of just top/bottom. I put the bolts through the holes for the factory tag mount on the front of my civic and it worked perfectly.
