It is perfect for a lot of ages - including our 8 year old and 4 year old. With one pack, you can make good sized dens that they all fit into afterwards. We tore up an old bed sheet to cover it up with which works perfectly as it's not too heavy on the frame. The poles are quite flimsy but we have just told our kids not to stand on any along the bottom of the den walls or entrance ways and so far, nothing has broken - it is early days though. I can see buying another box of these would make it even more fun as dens would be bigger. But, as this set comes, it is endless fun on rainy days and all of them can join in and fit in. I dont want it cluttering The living room if the fort stays up for long periods of time** A: Super easy, they pop apart as easily as they pop together but without as much planning and thought, so take down is the easy part. We have 2 kits, so twice the mess, so I got a basket/bin I have designated specifically for the fort parts. **Q: How durable are the sticks? Do they stand up to rougher play?** A: They bend individually if too much pressure is applied, but hold up well with my 2 boys ages 4 and 9 rolling around inside the fort. I found the flexible sticks to be more durable than the hard ones. Hope this helps. **Q: Would a 5 and 7 year old both fit together?** A: My five and ten year olds built this together and then sat inside and watched a movie marathon with stuffed toys and pillows and blankets and popcorn. 10 year old can’t stand inside. **Q: Will this allow for two boys (4 and 7) to have a sleepover in it? And maybe a visitor here and there?** A: This was perfect for two three year olds with an adult visitor for short periods.
