Just bought a used 2012 Ducati Hypermotard and noticed it sounded ‘weak’ when starting. Sure enough, it had a ChromeBattery installed which was about 35cca short.. and the battery was dying. It would start very weak after being on the charger all night. I read these Yuasa’s work great but, being honest, I’ve never filled a battery before, so I was a little apprehensive. I followed the written directions, with one deviation. I removed the tape covering the holes on the battery, removed the acid tubes from the box and removed the black cap from the tubes. I then put the battery on a level surface, took the acid tubes, tipped them upside down and lined up the holes so the tubes’ male filler ports fit down into the battery’s female filler holes, make sure it’s level and press down. I tapped the battery a bit and observed acid from each chamber flowing into the battery. Once the tubes were completely empty (15 mins), I let it sit for one hour with the filler cap off. This was the deviation the written directions didn’t call for but it will extend the life of the battery. I then gently placed the filler cap over the holes and charged it for three hours with my 3a charger. Once charged, I disconnected it, let it sit 30 mins and tested it with a multimeter: it read 13.27 which was terrific. The Hyper fired perfectly the first time and has the right amount of cold cranking amps to ensure it starts the way she should. I’m very impressed with Yuasa and will def be using them again if/when the need arises. For those concerned with filling the battery yourself; don’t be. They make it really simple and it seems to work very well. ***UPDATE*** A few days after install, I took an 8 hour ride with multiple stops and the battery had zero issues - I'm VERY pleased.

I ordered the battery on Sunday evening and it arrived at my door on Tuesday afternoon. It was the lowest price around and the shipping was free. What more could you ask for? Instructions for adding the acid (which was included) was straight forward and idiot proof. After a few hours on the battery charger my bike was good to go! It starts up much better now.
