what is the "L" in L-Glutamine?

Is this product "flavorless" where I can mix it with my protein shake?

It is pretty much flavorless, with a faint clay-ish or chalky taste. I believe other flavors in your protein shake would completely cover any flavor from the L-glutamine.

Where is this from? i see that now's creatine has been blocked bc of quality issues (it is from china)
