It works just fine! **Q: how can I clean it if I do an oil treatment on my hair/ conditioner?** A: For my hot oil treatment, I personally use a grocery bag over my oily hair, tie it in a knot toward the front of my face. Squeeze out the the excessive air in the bag, then place the cap over the plastic bag ..I wouldn't have to clean it. but if it did get some oil on it.. I'd just use some dish soap and wash by hand. **Q: Any alternate heating options? Can it be out in a dryer?** A: I use large pasta cooking pot (with inner slatted pot) and fill it about three quarter with water. Heat the water to boiling and turn it off. Put the cap upside down in the hot water avoiding filling inside of the cap with water. Let the cap float for about five minutes. Drain it well before putting it on.
