Great case to wirelessly charge your Samsung Galaxy S3!
This is a review of the Duracell PowerMat Wireless Charger case for the Samsung Galaxy S3.Let me start by saying that as a case, this is pretty good compared to most TPU or rubber cases out there for the S3. As far as I know, this only comes in white/grey so if you own any other color of the S3 (depending on what carrier you got it from) you're gonna have to live with the odd color combo of the front of your phone and the white/grey color of the case. This is a one piece case that slips on similar to other TPU cases so it will fit snug around the back and sides of the phone. Pretty smart design choice as I think making a two piece case would make it flimsy and too easy to remove. Once installed, it has a raised lip around the entire phone, so even when placed face down, the screen is not in contact with anything (when placed on a flat surface of course). The phone has the appropriate cutouts (and are perfectly lined up) for the top and bottom mic holes, the 3.5mm audio jack, and there is a supplemental micro USB port at the bottom (though off center) of the case so if you want to connect a micro USB cable, it is still possible without removing the case. The back of the case has the same texture as the back battery cover of the Galaxy S3, so it'll have that smooth texture, but the sides and raised lip has a nice rubber feel for secure holding and the phone won't slip off of your hand. Also, instead of three individual cutout for the camera, LED and speaker, it just has one large cutout to reveal all three. The bottom portion of the case adds a little bit of length to the phone (to accommodate the charger connector) but I think this is a good thing as it makes pressing the home button much easier. The side volume buttons and power button have no cutouts. They're raised so pressing them might take a little getting used to. I find that pressing the volume buttons tend to be a little difficult because depending on how you're holding the phone, you might accidentally press the power button at the same time. The reason I only bought the case was I already owned an older Powermat, and from what I read from another user, they are compatible. I slipped the case onto my phone, placed it on my powermat and boom! The light turns on and you hear that distinctive tone that powermats make when charging. Everything works well! :) Charging according to powermat should be similar or even quicker than using the tradition micro USB cable.I have yet to determine how long it would actually charge the phone from near empty as I just got it, but I'll try to update this review as I get more hands on time with it. Something to note about this case is after/during it's charging the back of the case does get warm. Not sure if this is normal cause I always had some kind of case around my S3 so I don't know if this is supposed to be normal for folks that use their S3 caseless. So overall, the case does what it's supposed to do and matches the white galaxy s3 perfectly.Pros:- Wireless charging!!- Matches the white galaxy S3 perfectly- Makes holding the phone more comfortable- Good protection all around with perfect cutouts- You can leave the case on if you need to plug in a Micro USB cableCons:- Pressing the side buttons are a little difficult- Adds a little girth to the phone. Not a lot, but to the extreme minimalist, it might be an issue- Phone gets warm during/after its charged.- If you own any other color than white...

Decent Wireless Charging Solution
Pros:Nice looking fit and finish. Wireless charging as advertised. Protects phone well - including the front edge. Easy access to all ports, even with over-sized connectors. Durable - The case itself is well built and shows few signs of use after one month. It matches the white SGIII well.Cons:Add considerable bulk - I don't know why they didn't design a Powermat option for this phone that just replaces the back case panel and uses the built in charging leads. This case has a micro USB connector on the bottom that plugs into the phone's micro usb port. Kills tactile feedback of lock/power and volume buttons. The case is so tight against the buttons that they are partially depressed all the time. Emits a annoying, high pitch, electronic buzzing sound when done charging on my Powermat travel charger (this may be the fault of the charger, but still a fault with the system).Summary:This case does what it advertises without affecting the functionality of the phone. It adds bulk but because the phone itself is so thin and light, it doesn't make it a deal breaker. It looks good and protect well.

Case works really well to protect the phone, but ...
Case works really well to protect the phone, but the Powermat circuitry in these is hit or miss. Of the 4 that I owned over 3 years, the average life of the case was about 6 months. I had one case that lasted over a year, but the first and last two only lasted months before they didn't charge the phone anymore. They are still affordable and convenient though, and I would definitely buy again!

This is a great solution
The case: Good quality, light weight, slim, protects the camera lens rather well, and does not interfere with the phone's functions. The power button and volume rocker may seem difficult to push initially but after a weeks of use they are easier. Its glossy finish allows the phone to slip into your pocket smoothly yet doesn't slip out of your hands. The micro USB port is relocated just a tad to the side. The hole for the audio/IO jack could be a little bigger but I really cannot complain, this is great for what it is and what it does. Soon phones will have this integrated to where this kind of case will not be necessary. This also does NOT interfere with the NFC antenna, I'm still able to use my NFC Tags. I would like to see other colors available.Pros:Great fitmentLight and slimCons:White is the only available colorThe Standards:QI - Where are the Qi products?I don't think Qi is yet established as an industry standard and neither is Power 2.0.Until then, this is available and works quite well.Powermat, Duracell, and 30 others including the IEEE Standards Association are behind the (PMA) Power Matters Alliance to form Power 2.0.

Fits and Works Great With PowerMats!
This item fits my Samsung SIII like a glove, charges wirelessly at very nice rate so I am always fullly charged and ready to bolt out the door. BUT reason I bought it was to save the micro-USB connector from wearing out or damage from the 3-5 times a day insertion & removals due to extreme power drain of 4G!!!BTW, when cover goes over the unit, it pretty does not matter what color your original unit was as it covers it upBut would agree that the volume and activation buttons are a bit harder to use but is a good trade-off for POWER!

Works wonderfully!
This case does exactly what it is supposed to, charge your phone by dropping it onto a powermat pad. It does take alittle bit to get it into the case, but once it's in, it fits tight and had no play in the design. I would have preferred to buy it in town, but as its not available in canada officially yet, it was amazon to the rescue.

4/7 maybe worth a look if you already have a powermat
Eh, this is okay I guess. If you don't have a powermat already, don't bother getting one, but if you do and it might be worth a look if you don't have a better case already. I have a few problems with this case; first of all, it must partially block the mic on my phone, because literally everyone I talk to complains that they can't hear me very well, unless of course I'm on my car's bluetooth. Secondly, it doesn't interface with my powermat very well. I occasionally have issues getting it to start charging once I set it on the mat, and it sometimes will start and then disconnect from the mat after a few minutes without fully charging. Also, not every set of headphones will work with the case on, which isn't a real problem for me since I have a pair of wireless bluetooth headphones. The buttons on the case do work with the buttons on the phone, and it has thus far done an adequate job of protecting my phone, so it's not all bad.
