It's clearly a lot cheaper to get the 17.5lb bag over the 3.5. Would the 17.5 be to much for a single Amazon to consume before it spoiles?

It a dry fruit flavored formula. I don't think you have to worry about it spoiling, just keep it dry. I have 2 yellow naped Amazon parrots and have used this product for a number of years. They enjoy crunching it.

what food is best harrison o zupreem fruit blend plz help

Harrison’s is considered the best food, but vets recommend both. What I like to do is mix the Harrison’s with the Zupreem Fruit Flavor. I have a sun conure and an African Gray. They like to eat both and I feel it gives them a bit more variety.

How fresh are the pellets, and what is the expiration dates

I ordered the bag in May 2014 and the "best used by" date is July 31, 2015, so over a year, and I will have finished the bag by then.

The last 3 bags of fruit blend zupreem have been strange, dull color, zero fruity aroma and my grey won’t eat this. he has had this food 20 yrs. why??

You should check the expiration date and see if it has expired. Also did you ordered from a off company? I normally ordered my through Petco. The expiration date is about 9 months to a year. I ordered from an off company previously and the expiration date showed 3 months from my purchased date. I was not pleased and didn't order from them. You should also contact the seller through Amazon and let them know. I would not feed it to your grey as you do not want to take any chances. My Pio would dump it out of her food bowl if she didn't like it!
