Great texture
I'm hooked! Easy way to work protein into soups & stir fries. I like to add them while I'm cooking up ramen. They rehydrate easily and take on flavor well. I have ordered them multiple times and will keep it up as a great source of vegetarian protein. Yum!

Works really well as a meat replacement, much tastier than TVP
Strict vegetarians and vegans know soy curls are great, but if you're like me and still eat some meat, these are a good alternative that doesn't disappoint. I've tried TVP and just couldn't get used to the taste. I know there are ways to make it taste good, but I haven't found a way after trying a few bags. Soy curls taste much better with no work. If you need "ground meat," just crush these up. Nobody will be fooled into believing this is meat. It's different but equally good. The texture and taste are good, so I don't miss the meat. I've been soaking the soy curls in vegetable broth and a bit of ketchup for about 10 minutes, then straining and pressing them to get the excess liquid out. After that, I saute in a little bit of oil and these are ready to add to most recipes. Just don't cook them too long. After soaking, half a bag of soy curls is similar to a pound of meat. One major benefit these have over meat is that they're shelf-stable. You can have these in your pantry for weeks and they'll be ready to use with a little prep. Getting meat can be a gamble if I get busy for a few days at work; with soy curls and some other pantry staples like pasta and sauce, it's easy to throw a good meal together at a moment's notice. TL;DR for omnivores: Soy Curls are a great pantry staple and are worth trying, even if you love meat.

Soak longer than recommended in a spice-water mixture.
First time using soy curls, recommended by several plant-based videos. I followed the package instructions, adding some plant-based bouillon to the water before soaking the curls. Came out okay, but tasted slightly of soy. Added them to a recipe and cooked for about 20 minutes. Although better in taste, they still tasted somewhat off. Refrigerated the left-overs. Two days later, decided to have the left-overs for lunch. What a difference! All traces of soy were gone, and the curls had absorbed the spices and the tomato flavor of my dish. Decided the best method for preparation is to soak them in the refrigerator longer than the package recommendations.

once you rehydrate, sqeeze out the liquid and toss into a marinade of choice
If you are plantbased, vegan, of just want a "meat" break, get these soy curls! you can turn them into anything! I make bufflalo chikun salad, BBQ, even seasoned them with "turkey" seasonings for Thanksgiving-they were amazing with my vegan gravy!

Gotta try Soy Curl for you meatless meals.
If you like chicken but don't want to eat meat, you gotta try soy curls. They are less processed than tofu and have the same texture as chicken after soaked in broth. These are great to add to any dish that calls fir chicken.
