Big mistake. Having persevered with it for about 6 months we decided to order this. The blender is very sturdy and quite heavy but there is no task it can't complete. The plastic blender was not capable of making breadcrumbs from stale baguette bread, no matter how long you left it in there. With this blender good crumbs were made in seconds. It is excellent at blending soups but it also copes well with dry ingredients. Its large capacity makes it ideal for blending large quantities and it makes light work of it. It comes apart easily which makes it easy to wash. On top of all that the Amazon price was a good one and it came with free delivery. An ideal attachment for our Kenwoos Major.
