Our little Yorkie has some allergies so we’ve been in the market for single-ingredient freeze dried Salmon treats for a while now. After trying 3-4 other brands we finally settled on A Better Treat. They are the only brand whose product does arrive almost entirely whole. While some product dust is expected, other brands seemed to arrive almost entirely crushed with only a few pieces still in tact. Our fur baby loves the crunchy salmon bites and we love that we get our money’s worth! The little bit of dust at the bottom of the bag we sprinkle on her food every now and then as a fun treat. I’d definitely recommend this product to anyone else searching for a healthy, good-quality dog treat!

These salmon treats are great single ingredient treats. My pup loves them, and they are a great switch up from chicken and beef based treats. I give him a few when he takes his vitamins or when we are training. I also put them on top of his food or in his enrichment puzzles. Although they are expensive, the bag is pretty big. If you aren’t sure if your dog likes salmon or if you don’t know if their stomach can handle it, it may not be for you. But my pup loves anything with a crunch, so it’s a yes for us!

These were great quality. But I wouldn’t recommend for cats. (I know it’s for dogs but a lot of brands are good for both) this one the salmon skins seemed to upset my cats stomach. I’m thinking maybe it was poking her on the way down or something. So I wanted to note that for any cat owners poking around. but it does seem like a great quality product for our pup pup friends and my cat DID go crazy for them and has no problems with the pieces without skin.

These are wild caught, and one ingredient, which we LOVE! We actually use them as a food topper because my dog doesn't like full salmon meals but i want him to get the added benefits of fish, so adding a small amount on top of meals is perfect!

These dog treats smell fresh, which makes my stomach flop a little, but my dog seems pleased with them, (after an initial period of 'what the heck is this, this isn't my normal yum yum?!?'). I really appreciate that they're a single ingredient (Alaskan Salmon) which she seems to digest easily, with no stomach upset. The chunks in the bag vary greatly in size, and ours did arrive with lots of crumbled up pieces. This makes it hard to give my dog a consistently sized treat, and she definitely notices and gives me the stink eye when I offer her one she deems too small. She seems to chew them up okay, but because they're so dehydrated, I encourage her to drink water afterwards so bits don't get stuck in her teeth, cheeks and on her gum line, potentially leading to decay issues. Mostly for that reason I won't solely give her these, but also intersperse them with crunchy, tooth cleansing treats throughout the day. Still, she likes them, and it's nice to offer her some (trustworthy) variety.

My boy loves these salmon treats. They are perfect for hiding a few bits here and there in his snuffle ball that he can count on getting after he has been groomed. He once snatched the bag from my hands and fortunately it was sealed shut. and he sure did try. would never intentionally tease my dog with food and was careful to make sure he couldn't take the bag from me again. Yet I have to admit I was impressed that despite his determination, my terrier couldn't get the bag open

I brought this in the past and the treats were small pieces. This order is horrible. It is more flakes and skin pieces. It looks like it was run through a blender. My dog won’t even eat it. There were some pieces that looked like shoe leather. See picture below.

My dog absolutely loves these treats. They do smell kind of fishy, but that’s to be expected.
