Jury is out on how effective this actually is, but the research I've done says these should be more effective than the long tube style ones. It was easy enough to install on my backstay. Here's hoping it keeps me safe!

This radar reflector just might save your life! If you travel offshore for extended sailing trips, you will want to be sure to have a radar reflector installed to help the big ships "see" you on the water. This reflector comes as unassembled sheets of aluminum, and plastic corner pieces that hold it all together. It is pretty easy to get everything put together and get it installed. Based on my research, this type of reflector works better than the tube style ones, so it is a great option. The quality of everything seems solid. I expect this to last for quite a while, and the price is reasonable. Bottom line: if you are heading offshore, make sure you have one of these onboard!

Feels sturdy, goes together well. The corner parts are hard to get on but that's not a bad thing. The blue protective film is a pain to get off but such as life with the metal sheets like this. Mounts up well, there are some holes and a notch for that if you need it. I don't have a radar range to test the RCS boost but it looks like it should work.

No assembly instructions were provided. The black corner pieces are very tight. I was finally able to assemble this by soaking the corner pieces in hot water. Still even after soaking them, I had to use considerable force to put them on. I was constantly afraid of putting the Aluminum plates through my hand. Once assembled, this does seem like a reasonable product.

The radar reflector arrived with only the sheet metal plates. The rubber corner pieces that hold the plates together are not included. Useless junk.
