they seem rather thin- I am worried about putting too much in as I think they will tear and leave a biohazard mess

This manufacturer of these bags works hard to make these as thin and cheap as possible, will not purchase ever again. Every single bag splits from opening to bottom as soon as you breath on them. Do not spend on these unless you like low quality. Terrible. And if you haven’t noticed biohazard cans have wide big openings, these open at most maybe 16 inches at the opening and maybe 11 inches long. A no name brand sandwich baggie is wayyy stronger.
