Surprisingly adequate! An honest review
My mother and I suffer from intense migraines, pretty much whenever it rains and/or the air pressure changes dramatically. I've been to the doctor's for prescription remedies, but they didn't work at all. The only thing that ever really works is Excedrin Migraine - and that really only works about 60% of the time. I found Aculief on YouTube when searching for new migraine relief options and bought a 2-pack for myself and my mother. I was hesitant to spend $30 on something I wouldn't be able to test initially, but the weather in March in Eastern North Carolina is just way too crazy to predict or take a chance on. While I was waiting for my order to arrive, I did some more research into the L14 pressure point. This eased my concerns, as it seems to be generally accepted everywhere that this pressure point relieves certain tension-related pains. Now that I have my Aculief, I've been pleasantly surprised! Initially, the product kind of hurts for about 5-10 seconds (especially if you hit bone with it rather than the fleshy pressure point). As you use it though, you'll find it easier to locate that pressure point. The "pain" fades quickly, however, comparable to the feeling on your arm when you get your blood pressure taken. The main thing I've noticed is that I noticed that migraines (which I still get) are WAY down in intensity and duration, if not totally relieved. If anyone is hesitant to spend $20-$30 on this product, I would argue that it is totally worth it to at least give it a try. You'll spend far more than that at a restaurant with your family anyway. Do it. The worst thing that could happen is you could be dissatisfied and be down one night out with the family (in terms of dollars spent). I myself am very pleased that it helps out at all, as I've suffered these migraines for quite literally a quarter of a century. DO IT! To quote our President: What the hell do you have to lose?! 5/5 stars.

Great concept, not extremely effective
I was very excited about this product and wanted to love it because I like to limit the amount of pain medication I take. So, the idea of using a natural method was great. I’ve had a few different types of headaches (sinus, tension, hunger, and eye strain) that I’ve used this product to help with; the results were just okay. The product says it instantly relieves the headache in 30 seconds, but I didn’t notice a difference that quickly. What I did notice is that the longer I kept it on, I kind of just forgot about my headache, and when I thought about it again the pain had lessened. Also, while I understand the concept of the device and where the placement must be because of the pressure point, it’s not very practical because it doesn’t stay in place if you’re using your hands for any reason even when you place it on your non-dominant hand. Overall, the concept is great but the execution leaves a little to be desired. It’s not a bad product, but if I lost it, I wouldn’t consider buying it again

Nice acupressure clips
Well made clips. Too many extremely different size hands in this family. Barely fit or couldn’t fit anyone, no matter where it was placed

I was skeptical, but t worked for me
I get migraines 2 to 4 times a month, for 3 to 6 days in length. They are usually a 5/6, sometimes 7/8, sometimes just pain, sometimes vomiting. My shoes size is 6, so my hands are on the small side. (I hope that made sense). So, I got this quickly and promptly put it in a my bedside drawer. I had a mild headache or two, but forgot about it. Then one day I had one of those 8s, with vomiting the whole morning. My husband was worried I would get dehydrated bc I was vomiting so much. I was looking on my drawer for some peppermint oil to help with the nausea, and I found this clip. I put it on, and within maybe 10 minutes, the intense pain had eased and my vomiting wasn't so bad. It was a six now and less vomiting (and, TMI, less violent). I wore it for a few hours while I slept, and thought, this was a placebo, and I took it off. My migraine grew back in intensity and my vomiting became worse....so, needless to say, I put it back on and wore it for the rest of the migraine. Since then, I use it when I have a headache, and it makes it bearable. It has never gotten rid of one completely. I try to avoid taking pain relief, it only works about 50% of the time anyway but not on the worst ones. I don't know why it works on some headaches and/or people but not on others, maybe it is whatever triggers it. Acupuncture never helped me, but others swear by it. So who knows...but this is a chemical free way to relieve headaches and works as well as medicines. It's worth a shot.

Instant Miracle Migraine and Headache Reliever Tool!
I have suffered from migraines for years, I get one just about every month, sometimes more often. The triggers vary, and sometimes I think it's just the weather. I usually take a pill and it more or less works, but the meds make me drowsy and if I'm at work, or need to drive, I don't love those side effects. A few years ago, a massage therapist friend told me about the pressure point in my hand that would help to relieve a migraine, at least while you are putting pressure on it. It changed my life! I was able to relieve a migraine, at least until the meds could start working or I could get to a place where I could take them safely. The problem always was that this trick takes up both hands, so driving and typing/working are difficult. Enter this little miracle product! It's so simple, yet it solves the obvious problem and frees up my hands to continue working/driving/doing things. This little tool is so simple yet so clever. I definitely recommend any migraine sufferers give this a try. The one caveat is that it is not a med, it doesn't "cure" or "end" a migraine, it just makes you feel like you don't have it any more, so if you take it off, the migraine pain usually comes right back, but for anyone looking to use less meds or just looking for something to use while the meds kick in, this is a great, relatively cheap, reuseable tool that absolutely worked for me!

Seems like a gimmick, but it really works.
I suffer from chronic headaches and migraines. When you've dealt with this for as long as I have, you're definitely willing to try solutions that don't require medication. Still, it seemed like a gimmick. So, I read the information. pressure point LI4. okay, I know what that stands for, because the karate I belong to practices kyusho-jitsu. I looked up where the point was, and that there were actually two of them. So far so good. I started with a single package of Aculief, and of course was able to try it out immediately, because that's my life. it helped. the pain immediately eased enough that I didn't have to take medication. that was so great, that I ordered a 2-pack. in stead of taking this one with me everywhere, I could have one at work, one in me karate bag, and one on the table. I'll need a couple more, I think. The only cons were that it pops off easily, so you can't use both hands if you're wearing it. I also found that I'd have to take a break from it occasionally, because my hand would start hurting. honestly though, if you suffer from headaches, it's worth trying.

Great Idea but just doesn’t work for me.
This is such a great idea. Just doesn’t work for me. I have chronic migraines and usually I apply pressure when I’m feeling a migraine coming on or during one to the specific area where the aculief is supposed to be placed. I was so excited about this product because I sure don’t feel like applying pressure myself on those points when I’m feeling lousy but the aculief fits me in an awkward way. Feels like it wants to pop off, slip, or fall off. I have to keep adjusting it and then I end up taking it off because I have to squeeze the aculief to apply the right pressure I need plus I don’t feel like dealing with something feeling like it’s falling off my hand. I’m so glad that I read in reviews that it does help some others. So for me it’s an awkward fit, doesn’t want to stay in place, and not enough pressure. Very good idea though, just not for me.

It does help, but hard to keep in place
I purchased the largest size, however it is not quite wide enough, and ends up putting pressure more on the webbing at the edge of my palm rather than the nerve point, and slips around or shoots off unless I hold it in place with my other hand. I anticipate it to be a bit uncomfortable just by its nature, so that's not an issue... I can say for certain it does help with some types of headaches. I occasionally get migranes that affect my vision, and I happened to have one of these on hand the last time I started getting symptoms, and immediately, I noticed a difference that my vision started clearing up. The sooner you can use this, the better, but I wish they offered a slightly larger size, or an adjustable strap that you could put around your palm and wrist to help keep it in place so you could still use your hands to some degree.
