Good fit (tested with two different U1 batteries) with space to tuck cables away and enough height to route cables through the top lid. The box comes with a strap and I appreciate this for carrying needs. The box lid also "snaps" into place (two snaps on both length ends) and provides enough holding strength to keep the whole install neat and tidy!

Part of me wanted to dock a start because it didn't fit "my" particular need, but overall it's a pretty nice product. NOCO makes some decent stuff, and I've had this and the Group 24 box in my hands for a project of mine, and quality seemed better than other options.This box fits U1 batteries nicely, with a little bit of wiggle room inside. I'm using a 35Ah U1 battery from Harbor Freight.I bought the box for a 12V car fridge project, where I don't have always-on power sockets to keep it running. My hope was to convert the box into a camping/project box where I could mount a solar charge controller (to regulate the battery charge from the car's power socket) and also install some USB and socket "pods" into the lid, so that it served my immediate project needs, but also additional needs for a campsite/in-tent power source. Unfortunately, all the dimensions of the lid pretty much made it impractical to put more than a switch and voltmeter due to the angles and such. I resorted to some simple connections direct from the battery, which still took up a bit of under-lid space.Overall, my reason for buying this box over the others was because of the competitive price and snap-on lid. It won't be used in rainy/wet conditions, so the vents (which include clip-on covers), aren't a concern. The included strap is a little misleading as it has this snap-together feature that I initially thought was some sort of fancy improvement over traditional straps. I eventually realized the snap-together "feature" had no function whatsoever, except maybe for packaging (it came snapped together, hence the reason I thought it was supposed to function that way). When used like a traditional strap, it holds great.

This worked well for me to refit a Toro T Bar walk behind from an original pull start motor to a replacement electric start motor, was compact and fit well in the small space.

Well sized and sturdy, comes with strap. I added an Iztoss WATERPROOF Voltmeter 12-24V DC red LED Digital Display voltage meter socket Universal for Automobiles Motorcycle Truck Boat Marine and a hole with Gardner Bender GHG-1538 3/8-Inch Hole Grommets, 5-Pack to feed thru a MinnKota MKR-12 Quick Connector Plug. On the inside of the lid I attached a Sea Dog Resettable Circuit Breaker with Cover, 50-Amp. A quick little DIY trolling motor power center!

The box seems to be as heavy duty as any battery box even though this one's only sized for a lawn mower battery
