My car has more spirited throttle response, a little soon but I think gas mileage is better. Its a perfect fit and also the cabin filter. Highly recommend.

A little over ten years ago, I picked up my first cold air intake from K&N for the car I was driving at the time. The car only got 132HP stock, but boy was I eager to eke any extra performance I could out of it without having to go the tuning route. Not only did the CAI sound fantastic, but I could swear it gave the throttle just that little extra pep, even from a relatively low-power 4-cylinder. Several cars later, I'm driving a new-ish Honda Fit that I use primarily as an eco-hauler for when I don't have to bring my whole family along, since it gets great fuel economy and has tons of interior space for as small as the car is. It also gets about 130HP stock; unfortunately, the engine bay has no room for a CAI, so my options were limited in trying to eke any extra performance out of it, but I was happy to find that K&N had a reusable filter that still promised more power, and given my experience with other K&N products, I decided to give it a try. Right out of the box, I was hit with just how small the filter for the Fit is. I know my car only has a 1.5L engine, but I had to check the filter box in the engine bay before realizing, yep, everything in my car is pint-sized. Either way, I was able to remove the old filter (which, for what it's worth, still looked new even after 15k miles) and install the new one with zero issues. I still have a partial bottle of filter oil that I can apply to this filter the next time I need to clean it, but that likely won't be for a couple years (since I don't live in an area with a lot of particulates). I honestly can't say I notice any significant difference in throttle response or fuel economy, but I also drive this car a lot easier than my previous cars, so the main thing for me is knowing that the engine is able to breathe as easily as possible. That said, if you drive a Fit and are interested in removing unnecessary restrictions on it without having to tune it or make significant part swaps, definitely check out this filter. It's not a CAI, so you might not get the added growl from adding one vs. a flat filter, but you'll still get the added benefits of better airflow with only about 5min needed to make the swap, which is a win in my book.

I have been installing these filters in every vehicle I own for close to twenty-five years. In all that time and MANY vehicles I have never had a bed experience or one lick of trouble. That is a pretty impressive record for anything at all these days

I've always used K&N replacement air filter sin my cars and motorcycles. This filter simply replaces the paper filter with one that's designed for better airflow. Car makers design the airbox and paper filter to be quiet, efficient, and good for most driving conditions. The K&N improves on that with a filter design that air passes through a bit easier. The fabric material is oil coated and very tacky. It works. Now, to keep expectations in check: don't expect to notice much of a change in driving "feel" or "sound". You might notice a subtle difference when you're accelerating. As drivers, we adapt quickly. The computers in the car adapt quickly, too. If you car/truck has an automatic, it will adapt as well. You will probably see an improvement in fuel economy. These are all pluses, just small ones. There's only so much you should expect from a low cost performance modification. That's what a K&N replacement filter is. In my case, I live in the mountains so I accelerate and decelerate a lot. It shows up in fuel mileage. I'm seeing a noticeable positive change with the K&N, somewhere around 10%. As the old saying goes "your mileage may vary". The cost of a K&N filter is somewhat equivalent to 4 paper filters, but it lasts, well, longer than most cars probably will. The savings at the pump will amortize it. The recommend a cleaning and re-oiling at 50,000 miles with their solutions.

Minimal increase of power during acceleration but improvement on the mid punch could be felt.

It's a K&N. Works as it always has. Convenient as "replacement"(cleaning interval) is much longer than a typical air filter.

Fit our 2018 Honda Fit perfectly. I actually do notice a little more zip with acceleration from a standstill. No notable power different passing at medium to freeway speeds. No change in fuel economy. It seems well made and hopefully will pay for itself after the first year where we wash instead of replace the filter.
