Excellent shipping service...great reel
Just bought one here about a month ago. Used it several times fishing for grey trout in northern Quebec at my fishing camp. Works awesome...smooth as silk. Been using Peen 309's for over 25 yrs. My other one, after 27 years has issues with the Paul and wormgear….jamming etc. It would have cost more to fix it...and it would still be 27 years old....go figure.....Dave

replacement reel
I got the Penn #9 to replace my old Penn 109 , Ive been hunting high and low for it and I happen to come across it on amazon

bought two. one was good, the other junk
bought two, one worked well, the other didn't work properly. It didn't crank in, didn't allow drag adjustment, and didn't let line out smoothly. I rate the second one as junk. Now having the annoyance of returning it.

the drag is awkward and hard to get at
line jamming between spool and reel body, found nut on side of reel loose, after tightningappears to work ok.
