is this thing able to trim hair on the whole vulva? or is it only for the bikini line area? ( mainly interested in trimming my labia majora hairs )

Yes, with the guard on it is able to trim hair on the labia majora. I set it to the lowest setting with no case of 'catching'.

Has anyone been able to order replacement blades? I have searched the Panasonic site & can't find blades. Probably cost as much as a new one though...

Paper I just got with mine says they can be ordered online or over the phone, part no. for the blade assembly is WES246A1058, price listed is $10.50, but it had a note that prices are subject to change.Other part nos. are WES246A7398 for the comb attachment at $2.27, WES246A3128 for the battery cover at $1.70, and WES76806761 for the cleaning brush at $0.95 if anyone needs them. The model no. for the shaver is ES246AC.

Although the description clearly states it is waterproof, the instructions state to completely dry the area you're shaving, so no it is NOT waterproof

New to trimming. Do I have to angle the guard or do I place it flat over my skin? Also do I move downward (with) or up (against)?

I don't use the guard hardly ever. I used it to trim when my hair was long, and then I took the guard off and was just careful. But you place the guard (or the razor directly, if you're not using the guard), right flat over your skin. I move up (against).
