This is a great gift for anyone older than 3 years old. I purchased this for my niece during Christmas and its the only gift she played with. Here are some details: 1. Appearance: Very colorful 2. Assembly: Already put together, nothing to do except take it out of the box, really 3. Length/Height: The blue piece is not a rod, its an elastic band that collapses, just appears to be extended/stiff in the photo. As you place your feet on the red spongey bottom you then grip the red handles and pull it up toward you, the blue band easily stretches to accommodate your height. I used it myself and confirm that this thing works great even for an adult. 4. Bounce ? Yup, bounce away ! I was at first not sure if this spongey bottom piece would have any bounce to it but I was surprised. Its very bouncy! It also gives an intended squeak sound with each bounce (kids love it). The cushion makes it safe for your floors at home, doesn't scratch/dent/discolor or affect it in any way that I could tell. 5. Safety: As compared to the original pogo jumpers, this one seems safe enough. I would not have my young child jumping on one of those original stiff pogo sticks because they won't have as much control over it and it is not cushioned like this one. Overall: Fun, looks great, safe for both child and your floor, great bounce, will not necessarily outgrow it right away like other toys, recommend it. Happy Shopping ! George

Yes this is a great item... its a toy.. it's exercise but does not seem like it... my granddaughter who is right now living in NC with inlaws and tons of family all over take care of the "toys" dolls doll closes and little things like that - it all costs money but I now the fad will change in no time... I have raised my own.... heck - my daughter came home that the family all got together and painted the mermaid on my granddaughters wall.... the did a great job... but I feel activity toys are the most important... the Jumpers takes practice and use... can be used inside and out.... and works all the muscles and it is all giggles... so far sit using inside cause it is so cold...also - easier on the bottom when they fall... but no injuries to worry about.. simply jump jump and fall... it has been fun just watching the video's I get, it is clear she is really concentrating and then laughing.... great toy... well made...

I got 2 of these for my 5 yr old by mistake (i didn't realize i had put 2 in my amazon cart!). I thought about returning the extra one, but after she started playing with it I thought I would keep the extra one so she and a friend could bounce around the house together. It is all soft and foamy and when you first try it you think it won't work, but it really bounces like a pogo stick - not as high, obviously, but adults and kids have had a blast with them at our house. it is easy to store since the "stick" part is actually soft and springy. For the price it is a fun toy, doesn't take up much room, and is durable enough for adults/teens to use as well. My 5 yr old gets it to make the squeeky sound about 1/5th of the time, which makes her happy. Why not 5 stars? It is made of foamy Nerf like material so you just can't bounce as high as you might like...

Lots of good fun. I got 2 of these for when my grandchildren came for a visit. We had a family party and all the kids and adults were playing with them. The 3 an 4 year-olds learned quickly how to do this, and even grandpa could do it! Great for the little guys to work on coordination. The spongy, red block lessens the impact on the knees (more of a plus for Grandpa), and there is a squeaker in the block that makes noise on each bounce (very cute). The only slight criticism is that the two I purchased were not of identical size (one had a smaller foam block than the other), but that did not detract from the fun. I recommend that if you get this, get two if you can, as it's even more fun when the kids can race each other.

I bought this pogo jumper for my 6 year old for Christmas. It is fun for a day or two but is very babyish. We've had it for a year and it hasn't been used since last Christmas. I didn't realize the blue part is not a "stick" but a rubber band type material. Not that there is anything wrong with it, but it was weird to take it out of the box and see the handle wrapped around it. It also squeaks like a dog toy when jumped on. For younger kids (around 3) this item would be perfect. My daughter was too old for it. Well made, I could see it lasting for a long time.

I recently did some reading about the importance of jumping, especially for girls, in keeping bones and muscles strong, and originally thought of getting a trampoline... but I was concerned about safety as my girls are still quite small - almost 6 and almost 4 years old. So then I thought maybe a pogo stick would work but when I saw this product on amazon I thought this would work much better and be easier on our carpets when used indoors. My older daughter got the hang of it immediately and my almost 4 year old needed a little help in coordinating pulling up with her arms while jumping so that her feet stay on the foam... she figured it out within a few tries though. They got a kick out of seeing me demonstrate for them as well :). I've had them try to count how many hops they can do in one go and this definitely gives them a work out! They also have a gymnic hop 45 and rody so they get a variety of options in hopping around the house everyday. Basically this is a handle bar that is connected with a rubber resistance band to a thick piece of foam with a squeaker inside. Because the band is flexible, it's easy to store away in a drawer or shelf as well. The quality is pretty good as far as I can tell. (I hopped on it just fine - I'm about 120 lb.)

Lots of fun! My 40 lb. 43 in. tall newly 5 yo twins LOVE this gift. It is the less scary version of my big kids pogo ball and pogo stick that they try and steal from her, and now they are content. I am 5'6' and 124 lbs right now and I can jump on it nooo problem. The squeak doesn't annoy me, even two times over. I guess to some it might be, but it helps them or I count for them to see how many bounces they can do. Just beware of pups. They hear anything that sounds like a squeaky toy and think it is theirs lol. This is one toy FINALLY hub let them play inside with. No more fighting for the big kid one, yaya!!!! Great product, great price. I totally recommend.

Edit 12/24/16 - Well, it's been 9 months since the original review. Still holding up just fine with a moderate amount of use. Don't take it on cement. One time lesson learned, but the damage was minimal at least. This is actually way more difficult to jump on than I thought it would be. As an adult, I even had problems with the coordination - HOWEVER, I think it is a GREAT product to help with balance. Not just for my kid, but myself as well. Especially if you do it barefoot. Wouldn't recommend that for the kids. Not even for adults. I feel like I could potentially get a nice ankle sprain from doing that, but I like to live dangerously. The squeak is not as irritating as I thought it would be. It's like a muted dog toy squeak sound. I had my doubts that I could actually jump on this thing and not completed destroy it. But no, I hopped around the house(clumsily, but I digress) and there was no "smushing" or indenting. It requires YOU, as the user, to do the jumping for height. It is not like what you may think when you think pogo balls/sticks from back in the day, where you sailed in the air. If this was the case I would have not purchased it, fun as that was. I am curious about the longevity of this material as well as using it outside. So far, we have only used it indoors. I would like to give it some more use and come back to update my review.

I bought two of these and already had two more. They were for my 4 grandchildren ages 4 to 9. The Pogo Jumpers were fantastic. The children loved them and so did their parents. As the box said they are good right up to 250 pounds weight. We had a blast with them....lots of laughing. Even the dog had fun as he loved the squeaky sound the foot rest made!

Lots of fun for kids and adults! I’m able to use this easily and my 3 yo son is yet to get the hang of it. Makes a squeaky noise when bouncing off it. Sturdy product and you have to concentrate on keeping your feet on the base which is something my son is yet to master. Have put it away for a while till he’s a bit older.

However, my 5 year old grand-child does not seem to use it much.

Good service, sturdy design, my 3 year old did not really find it interesting, probably better for older toddlers, all the adults had a blast with it

Great product, my 4 year old figured it out right away. The squeaker did break pretty soon after purchasing, but this didn't bother me. ;) Foam bottom is solid and stood up to regular outdoor use.
