Clarifying wine is a pretty complex subject. After reading countless posts and Youtube videos, I settled on this product. It arrived quickly and is a snap to use. I boiled a cup of water and added the powder, mixing it well and waited the required time. That was yesterday afternoon. This morning, you can see the sediment moving down the carboy to the bottom and the wine at the top is almost clear. Wow, that was fast. It's cheap, easy to use, and apparently very effective.

Works a charm, and settled the fog out of a sugar wash in just 2 days. Thumbs up!

I have been small batch brewing (1-5 gallons) wine for a couple years now, and I still have plenty of this product left in this bag. It is perfect for clearing wines up, depending on the origin of the fog. If you use pressed or concentrated juiced that don't require boiling, this will be perfect for you. However, if you use ANY form of boiling or use of high heat to produce the wine/beer/etc using fruits or vegies, your fog will most likely be the result of released pectins, and you will need to use 'Pectic Enzyme' to get the pectins to clump up and fall to the bottom of your wine.

Been making small batches of wine in 1 gallon carboys. I added this stuff to four different carboys yesterday and in just 24 hours there's a very noticeable difference in clarity in every single one. It's like magic! At this rate it will be completely cleared in another day or two. Definitely recommend this stuff!
