Nice finish stone after the fine stone
Subjective, but I would say the grit on the one I got is about 1200. I've got an Arkansas black benchstone that is more like 2000. 1200 will get knives shaving sharp, but if you want hair popping sharp you will want the leather strop as well. Also, I use mineral oil when sharpening with stones. I pick it up in pharmacy section so it is 100% food safe and doesn't smell.

Not what I thought I was buying...
It's advertised to be somewhere between a 1200 and a 1400 grit, but when mine came in, it was more like a 600 grit. It's a natural stone, so I understand, nature doesn't always do what we want it to do. But I was looking for a bridge between my 1000 and 2000 grit stones, so a 600 doesn't really do the job. I think it's probably just nature turned out an odd stone, but it still would have been nice to get what I was paying for. Can't really give it a bad review, for my purposes it's useless, but it is still a decent stone.

Not flat
Got 1 really bad stone that I returned for a replacement. Lansky really needs to up their quality control because the second one had a twisted top. I don't feel like waiting for another replacement so I'm lapping this one. I only have a 600 grit diamond and I'm almost done at 3hrs in. If you want this be prepared to work to make it functional.
