Installation instructions are incomplete
I think many have had the same problem I did--the track heads do not light if you do not install them properly, and the installation instructions fail to tell you that you need to hold the slip collar back before you place the head into the slot and keep it retracted until you have twisted the head 90 degrees to lock it in place. This is not very easy to do because the slip collar is hard to hold out of the track. If you do not retract the head, it will not make full contact with the copper power strip inside the track housing. Once I figured this out, I had no problems, but I got very frustrated before I did.Addendum: If you are using this with the Live End Cord Kit (plugging into a wall socket), insert it into the track with the steel metal prong on the side of the track with two copper strips. If you place it the other way, it won't fit. Another gap in the instructions... I suggest that you slide in the Cord Kit Before you attach the track to the ceiling.

Pair this with an MR16 LED for an excellent track light at a good price
I was looking for track lights that were modestly priced and more attractive than the basic cans one normally sees in this price range. And being able to use LED bulbs was important. I bought 4 of these to illuminate a 6' countertop, including sink, and stove. And I picked up Ecosmart LED bulbs at Home Depot. The bulbs are identified as bright white MR16 GU10, light temperature 3000 K, 320 lumens, and 6 watts. Some track light cans are reported to have a problem accommodating some GU16 bulbs due to a deep socket for the bulb. These have what seems to be the shallower socket which should accommodate all MR16 GU10 bulbs including those with a short neck.Installation of the bulbs was easy. The socket is pulled out of the housing to install the bulb, then the socket/bulb assembly is reinserted in the housing. A ring clip then holds the bulb in place. These were delivered with a flat glass lens which might be desirable if you are using a bulb with a small diameter, or if you needed to block UV from the bulb. With the bulbs I used the glass was not needed, and omitting it probably keeps the bulb circuitry a bit cooler by letting air flow through. The track light heads installed easily on the track as one would expect. I only installed 3 of the 4 lights because the light was more than adequate with 3 to cover the countertop and stove, and if I had installed the 4th one I probably would have needed to wear sunglasses when doing dishes in the sink. The small size of these means they are unobtrusive when turned off, and they look really classy when turned on.The quality of construction seems better than comparably priced track lighting cans I looked at. In all respects, they have been an excellent purchase.

fine for the money
These are cheap Chinese fixtures that have worked fine for me, and are quite a bargain compared with name-brand units costing $50 and up (which don't include bulbs either). I have 10 of them and they all work fine if you install them properly, and in the right kind of track. It's the halogen bulbs I don't like. They've had 50w halogens in them for several years, and the heat has made the plastic mount a little brittle. A few tiny pieces have chipped off when I de-mount them to change bulbs, but nothing has failed. I am changing to LEDs, which provide whiter light, run cool, last a -lot- longer, and should save a bunch on the electric bill. The fixtures work fine and should last forever with minimal handling and cooler bulbs.

Real, super annoying installation problems.
Bought in December. They look nice and are inexpensive. However, initially I thought 2 out of 5 did not work. There are no (ZERO!) instructions that come with these. So I read some reviews here about how you have to have the bases all lined up the same way (get the little printing on the base to all point the same direction) plus, you have to pull back the plastic cover on the connector box at the same time you turn it in to seat it in the track. (I didn't even know it pulled back until I read it here.) Then the two DID work. So OK, nearly really pissed me off but I recovered but TOTALLY could have been avoided with a bit of installation info. Secondly, these come with a glass cover that cannot be used it you are using LED bulbs. I presume they would fit with halogen, but my entire reason for getting these was to have LED so I don't have to replace the bulbs (ever?). Again, I'm OK with this but COULD YOU TELL US ON SOME INSTRUCTIONS??!?

Very close match to my old track heads
I have a Hampton Bay track light kit in my living room from 2004. This Nuvo head was the closest match I could find to the stock heads. The only difference is the connector is a little thicker and the extension shaft is a little longer. Otherwise very nice. While the electrical connectors look identical to the stock heads in length, width and spacing, I couldn't set the connector square in the track. I had to set it a little at an angle to get the light to come on. I'll definitely consider purchasing more of these in the future.

incorrect size for bulb
Product description specifies gu10 halogen bulb, unfortunately the base on this bulb is too long and the bulb itself sticks out of the light fixture, which not only prevents inserting the glass retainer but also leaves the bulb dangling out the end. The bulb specification might fit a longer fixture but not the shorter square fixture I bought. Missed the return window so cannot get money back.
