ARES 70009 33-Pc Security Bit Set - SAE, Metric Hex & Star Bits, Magnetic

I needed some of these fast. I wanted to fix my spray gun. Well next day arrival. Had the size I needed, comes in a really nice holder, and quality is good. Worked great . Why wouldn’t I buy these again . Have a set for home and work, or in my Jeep . I’m a maintenance mechanic for over 30 years . These are fine. No issues

Well-constructed security bits that you shouldn't be disappointed with. They are machined, not forged, so they are much more durable than comparably and cheaper priced sets. There are a variety of bits that should fit almost any bit you are looking to secure or remove. Works perfectly for my stainless torx bits that I use on my license plates.

Nice bit set. I hate that I have to buy this or any security bits for that matter. What, am I a child or a thief,? and if a thief the security bolts would barely slow me down because I can readily buy them on the internets. What a racket! Anyway, these bits were under 10 bucks and enabled me to dis-assemble my Ridgid battery unit to replace the OEM batteries so I only used the T10 bit. It worked well and I may never use the other bits unless I want to dis-assemble a toilet stall or something. Most of the bits are correct, only one bit was off center, (see pics) however other manuf. bits look like crap, (China). Also these bits are made in Taiwan who are not as good as the Japs or Germans but are still very good. Nice pliable case that holds the bits securely. For 10 bills, I recommend!

I was in need of some specific sized security bits for some electronic cleaning and repair. I didn't need a huge new screwdriver set that had hundred or more pieces. This was exactly what I needed, a nice clean little assortment that comes in it's own little holder. They seem well constructed and machined properly that they won't strip out the driver or the screw head itself. Very well pleased with this purchase.

I bought this 33 bits without too much hope for others, because I just need a specific security bit to un-screw a security screw in my broken microwave. Upon arrival of what I ordered, not only did I get what I need for unscrew the microwave cover, but also I got a complete rubber like cover which perfectly matches the whole bits base, constructing a box to hold all the 33 bits - So from now on I won't lose any bits.

I bought this because I occasionally take small machines apart and to fix them (like my vacuum) and I got tired of being thwarted by tamper-resistant screws. This set has a lot of different sizes and types for a reasonable price. Normally you only have one or two screws of this type in a job, so I don't expect them to get a ton of use, but it's awful nice to have them on hand when you need them. They come in a little rubber container with a piece that goes over the top and keeps them in place. Compact, secure, and convenient. I'm happy with them.

A great product and outstanding value. Came in one-day as promised. Self-contained in a compact semi-hard rubber case that keeps all the pieces where they belong next time they are needed. I actually needed just one tamper-proof bit of the correct size to repair a GE Advantium Halogen/Microwave oven unit. That one bit allowed me to disassemble and clean various parts that were causing arcing. Thanks to the seller.

Star security bit twisted and sheared off at tip on very first use I submitted warranty on item to see what Ares does as far as warranty goes I will edit review when I hear back from them not looking good so far addendum to review I cannot recommend these bits I contacted Ares and have not received a reply it will be three weeks in three days an mail could have been sent one way or another regarding their product based on this type of customer service I would not recommend buying these bits or any Ares products

Broke within 3 seconds of opening the package. Do not recommend

I ordered this because I wanted this type of bit set but with a black case. All of the photos for it show a black case. It came in a blue case. I could have gone to the filler shop up the road and gotten one in a blue case for half the price. I know it's only a colour but it is still frustrating. Additionally the rubber molding is very poorly done and the bits are poorly constructed. The advertising said that this would be a well made set and it even compared the hole positions to "cheaper" sets. However the holes in some of these security bits are even worse than the ones that the advertising said was poor. Don't buy these. Not worth $5
