Sounds like it drains quickly, will it just drip right to the ground below it and not retain much water in the soil?

Because these areas the soil and they are well drained they do require consistent watering. If you want something that retains water a little better our indoor pocket planters are lined with plastic in the back and underneath so the soil does tend to stay a little wetter.

Hello! They drain fast. Most of mine are hanging is shady to partial shade areas. With petunias, ivy and other flowers, I water them 2-3 times per week. With succulents, only once per week since they like to be a lot dryer. It really depends what you have planted, and how much sun they're getting. They do drain faster than a ceramic or plastic pot though.

How often do you need to water the plants? I want to plant basil, mint and other herbs, and am curious if the water drains quickly.

Will it be inside or outside? I had mine outside, in sun. It needed to be watered every other day.

Could veggies grow in these

Hello! Great question. Some veggies like most greens. Lettuce, spinach, herbs, etc. I've heard strawberries do great. (not a veggie, but a fun thing to grow). Bush beans, anything that doesn't grow too big or need a ton or root space. Does that make sense?
