I seem to remember I couldn't find any elderberry in capsule form that were organic. If you want organic you'd either need to look for the syrup or other extract forms, or get the Gaia Herb liquid capsules ($19-25). Extracts pack a better punch anyhow. These capsules are good for daily use- in place of echinacea. (Side note- echinacea should not be taken daily because it over stimulates your immune and can cause immune issues. Elderberry and echniacea both have a compound in them that inhibits the enzyme that viri secrete to break down the cell wall so they can get inside the cell and make it a virus making factory. Echinacea also stimulates your immune system as well, even if no virus is there, it will essentially flag the immune to engage as if there was. That way it will be pumped up and ready for when a cold hits, which is why it's okay to take it for several days here and there if you're around sick people or traveling. But taking it longer it can create, simply put kind of a "boy who called wolf" with your immune, or it could overstimulate to the point of your immune kicking into autoimmune and attacking your body. Neither are good, obviously. Just a FYI who to people who take Echinacea all the time.) But if you're battling a cold extract is the way to go. I have these for every day use as a preventative, and the Sambucus Super Concentrated extract for if I am fighting something (5000mg per teaspoon). **Q: How big are the pills?** A: They are the smaller capsules. Or standard size as most capsules. I think OO size. They are not the big ones seen with some products. **Q: Do you cook the berries/flowes and test them for cyanide?** A: The bottle indicates it has berries and flowers. It is not an extract. Some people are more sensitive to the cyanide inducing constituents in elderberries than others, so if you are one of these people, are pregnant, or nursing, you should contact the manufacturer and ask about their processing steps. **Q: What are the ingredients in these elderberry capsules. The ingredients in the bottle pictured says fo-ti...not elderberry.** A: 5 calories, total carbohydrates 1g, sodium 5 mgelderberry (Berry) 920 Mgelderberry (Powder) 230 MgOther ingredients : Gelatin (capsules) Silica.Hope this helps. I take it for flu like symptoms, sore throat, cold etc. I guess for upper rasperatory symptons.
