It’s only a cable that connects in line to the back of the trailer hitch plug and original hitch cable. I didn’t encounter any problems with my backup camera. Because the trailer hitch plug is standard configuration you shouldn’t have any problems. I did a review of the Nilight Tailgate Light Bar and mentioned when switched to 4 wheel drive on my truck(2021 Toyota Tundra) the light bar malfunctioned but my back up camera was fine.
