Zog and the Flying Doctors

Description

Written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler, this is the heartwarming sequel to the best-selling book Zog. In this adventure, Zog the dragon provides the transportation for a Flying Doctor crew consisting of Princess Pearl and Sir Gadabout. Together, they fly around the kingdom tending to a sunburnt mermaid, a distressed unicorn, and a lion with the flu. However, Pearl’s uncle, the King, doesn't believe that princesses should be doctors and locks her away in the castle. It takes a mysterious illness affecting the King himself to prove that Pearl’s medical skills are exactly what the kingdom needs. Review: A Magical Tale of Kindness and Courage - Amazing book Zog and the Flying Doctors” is a fun, rhyming story about Zog the dragon, Princess Pearl, and Sir Gadabout who fly around helping sick animals and magical creatures. When the King says Princess Pearl should only be a princess, she proves that she can be a brave and clever doctor too. With colorful pictures and a lovely message about kindness and following your dreams, this book is perfect for young children.. Review: Julia Donaldson at her best - Zog and the Flying Doctors is as good as its predecessor Zog. My 4 year old adores it (and my 8 year old isn't averse to listening in when I read it either). JD's usual excellent rhythm, rhyme and storytelling are all present.
