Is the jar supposed to come without a seal once you open the jar? I’m worried someone else opened/used it before me. Please help

I'm not sure. But, if you can't tell it was sealed with plastic, or that the lid was vacuum sealed, I would just return it. It's been a long time since I ordered my jar. I don't really remember how it came. But... If it has a metal lid, there should be some resistance when you try to open it. If there's not (and there's not vacuum seal), I'd return it.
