Deep Almost Black Blue from Daniel Smith
This color is so deep I would be using it perhaps in liu of black or gray. It’s got no wink towards blue really… at all! I thought this would be good shadowy blue but not really so much, the lunar blue produces brighter shadows than this color for my taste. It’s highly pigmented almost black shade.

Lives up to the hype
I had previously purchased a Daniel Smith 66-color testing page - but regardless of that Payne's Blue Gray is a must have in my palette. I have used it to paint night-scenes and trains - and it's very versatile in that sense. Not bad for cityscapes or other shadow applications. The tube I got was new with no visible damage - and not-previously used. It shipped quickly along with the other paints I obtained. I suggest giving it a try!
