My husband has chronic back problems, and we had recently gotten rid of our large La Z Boy recliners when he experienced another episode of back pain. He isn't ready to go out shopping for a new recliner yet so I ordered this one from Amazon as a temporary fix until we can shop for a good zero-gravity chair. It seems well-made, it was easy to put together by myself, and my husband finds it comfortable for his back. He wishes it would recline further but otherwise he likes it just fine. I also found it quite comfortable, and although it doesn't weigh much it feels quite stable and sturdy. A very good chair for a reasonable price, and it will work well while we search for a high-quality zero gravity chair.

It is what it is, an inexpensive chair, and being so it got 4 stars out of 5. Made in china. Looks great, easy to assemble, comfortable to sit and relax in. Does sit low to the floor, so its not the easiest to get out of ( seniors perspective). Something to consider... the swival is not on ball bearings, but on a plastic slide rail, so it feels and sounds like its grinding as it turns. Longevity of the swival system's questionable. Compared to a more expensive chair ($500+) it would be rated at a 2-3... but for the money its worth it. Reclining mechanism is similar to that of a reclining lawn chair verses a more expensive recliner. All in all, good for the money, but it is what it is. So far so good. Life expectancy is certainly ... well, its not going to be a family heirloom.

Chair arrived today and was very easy to assemble. Just take the time to sort your screws out and figure out which each # it corresponds with. The color is fantastic and OMG IS IT COMFORTABLE!!!!!! It's a little stiff right now and I'm sure it will break in just fine. I have it in my basement for watching tv and gaming but I have a feeling I'm going to be missing out on a lot of the sporting events I'm watching because I'll be falling asleep. It's just that comfortable! I read some reviews about the chair tipping and I can see how that might happen but to me at least it's not really an issue. My only complaint was the wood supports on the foot stool came "scarred" with some stain missing and a few scratches but the overall product make up for the imperfections and it's not worth sending the whole chair back for. I'd definitely recommend this chair for people who enjoy comfort and napping a lot. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to watch some baseball and see if I can stay awake til the third inning!

Have had this chair and ottoman about 3 weeks & love it! It's very comfortable, love the color & style & find it hard to stay awake when I'm in it! I'm trying to talk my husband into getting one too. He has a hideous blue velour LazyBoy recliner sitting in the living room that is beyond ugly, so I'll keep working on him! Believe it or not, this entire chair & ottoman was extremely well packed into one box. Had a friend put it together in about 20-30 minutes. He was impressed with it too & will probably be getting one himself! This is an update on my previous 5* review. I have a auto-immune bone disease & purchased this chair as I need to lie down several times a day & thought this chair would be perfect to use for that purpose, & it was! Until last week when I realized it would no longer recline. I am a broken hearted 81 yr old lady extremely disappointed in my purchase. I have purchased other items of furniture from Amazon with no problems, as I am unable to stand long enough to go out shopping, & their prices are good. In fact I purchase almost everything I need from them as it just makes my life so much simpler. But I won't buy furniture from them anymore. The chair is very attractive but what I need is to be able to recline for my rest & to watch TV. Looks like I will be bedridden sooner than I thought. I really regret that I had to change my review.

UPDATE: The fake "leather" cracked on one chair after a few years (arms only). We tried vinyl repair to fix it, which lasted a year or so before cracking more. Now, the vinyl has peeled off both chairs and one ottoman on all panels, and leaves black chalk on clothes if you sit in it. The only way to save these is to see if re-covering them is an option. Sad to say, it is no longer worth it! My first impression was hmm...kind of lightweight, hope it is worth it, but once it was together, it is remarkably sturdy. It is NOT leather, but looks nice and seems very well built. We purchased a 2nd chair (identical) and both are great. Now for the bottom line: Pros: - Sturdy, nice looking, well built, great price - Comfortable, decent lumbar support (not huge, not small) - Fits into smaller spaces than most other recliners - Ottoman is also comfortable, light, easy to move, great looking, well designed/built, and serves as a great spare seat for short conversations or when putting on shoes - overall, no real complaints from either of us...we are happy with the purchases. Cons: - The reclining mechanism is a bit jerky until you get used to it (I can't count the number of times I "snapped" it into and out of the reclining position). I am considering it operator error. - The swiveling mechanism is my biggest long term concern. The bottom swivel rail is a thick plastic--not metal. It glides fairly smoothly and quietly because it is plastic, but I don't know how long to expect it to last without cracking or breaking (eventually). In the end, if we lose the swivel ability in the future, I plan to remove the rail completely, put felt pads on the wood base, and go "swivel less" from then on. Seems easy enough if that happens. - The black fabric covering on the bottom of the seat is questionable. I have dining chairs with similar material under them. The fabric on two of those dining chairs has completely disintegrated, and I replaced that fabric with normal material using a staple gun on both chairs. It is just cosmetic in every case, and is limited to the fabric on the bottom of the chair anyway (so it would be tough to notice it was gone, even if it was never replaced. The clean up of messy disintegrating fabric was the worst part of the ordeal). However, the fabric on the 6 other chairs is still fine, so it seems like a "hit or miss" item. - The chair "pleather" material does squeak against itself (as the material rubs together) when you move around a lot, or are reclining. I don't find it annoying, but I could imagine it could be a problem for some people. I was in a new office last week and all their chairs made the same amount of noise when we sat in them or moved around. I would not have noticed except I was paying attention after buying these chairs and was getting ready to write this review. - Finally, it would be optimal if the arm height could be adjusted (I think this might be asking a lot for the price), but sometimes, I want the armrests higher, which seems worth mentioning. They are currently no different than a normal sofa height. Again--we really like our chairs! The pros significantly outweigh the cons

A very nicely made chair - and perfect replacement for my old oversized/overstuffed recliner. I was sad when I heaved the old recliner out -- but also determined not to replace it with another chair that had me too lazy to climb the stairs to my bed....I needed a comfortable chair in my office that I could relax, meditate, put my feet up -- but not s-o-o-o-o comfortable that I'd sleep the night in it. The chair is solid when assembled and a bit stiff -- so if you're looking for a big lazy cush chair, then this may not be the one for you. Assembly -- contrary to others that voiced issues with the assembly and instructions -- I personally (not a skilled trades worker) found the assembly rather easy.. No special tools were required -- the kit contained the correct amounts of hardware and 3 different Allen Wrenches. All the holes lined up perfectly. I did not rush and took my time to insure that all the bolts threaded easily into the respective sockets -- abt 20 minutes. Here is a list of the items you assemble and the number of bolts for each: Left and Right Arm Rest -- 2 bolts each Seatback -- 4 bolts Seat -- 4 Ottoman - 4+4 Reclining Position -- the reclining mechanism works smoothly and I'd guess at full recline it's about 60 degrees ~ so again compared against a Lazy...recliner it's made for relaxing............and maybe a nap.

Quite a bit of quality for such a low price. Fit, feel, and finish are better than expected. I'd buy it again and rec'mnd. it to anyone. Good support, good function, easy assembly, and a terrific price.

I ordered this chair for my 86 yr. old mother with back issues. She needed a chair that reclines slightly that did not have to be re-positioned every time she sat down. Additionally she would never have been able to operate the typical recliner, to get out of the chair. You can set the back of the chair to your comfort, and it stays right there. The chair does swivel so be careful getting in and out that it doesn't swivel too much. This chair fit out needs and is very comfortable. Now putting together was a bit of a challenge for my 87 yr. old father, but he wasn't going to let it defeat him. The directions could have been a bit better, but turned out great.

Ich habe schon beim auspacken aus dem Karton gesehen, das hier im äußeren Bereich des Sessels ein langer heller Riss ist. Der bestand definitiv schon beim verpacken oder versenden des Kartons, der äußerlich unbeschädigt war. Ich habe den Sessel dennoch ausgepackt, weil ich eine passende Sitzgelegenheit brauche durch einen Umzug und würde den Sessel ungern zurück senden, da dies im Karton praktisch unmöglich ist. Hier erwarte ich einen preislichen Nachlaß, weil das schon ärgerlich ist und man da immer hingucken wird.

I've had my chair about a month now. First off, I was able to assemble it myself. I have never assembled anything myself so that was huge! It is comfortable. Great value for the money. I was unable to find anything local for less than 3x the price. I wasn't looking forward to buying a chair on line. I'm picky. Arm height. Seat height. Comfort. Given what I paid I'm elated with my purchase. The only issue I had so far was my own fault. I had a dark coloured blanket over the back, and I think the heat from my back and the rubbing on the seams caused some colour transfer. Live and learn.

Fácil de armar, solo un par de tornillos y listo. Funciona bien. Cómodo, la cubierta es suave talvez un poco delgada ojalá dura como dice la publicación. Para mi el ancho es adecuado siendo hombre de 100 klgs. Sin embargo talvez una mujer muy caderona no entre bien.

I have a chronic back pain condition and having a chair that supports my back is essential. For me, this is the best chair I've ever bought, very comfortable and I have far less pain after using it. I am absolutely delighted with it. As far as assembling it is concerned, I did need someone to do that for me. He found it reasonable . It is worth every penny. Marian, Swansea.

Une fois monté, le fauteuil est parfait ! 2 inquiétudes : Le cercle plastique permettant les rotations du fauteuil semble plus fragile que le reste du meubles et le rembourrage d'assise qui semble trop mou ou insuffisant. Une remarque : La marque gagnerait à s'attacher les services d'un vrai dessinateur industriel pour les schémas de montage. Ceux fournis relèvent de l'amateurisme ou d'un désintéret total du client...
