This book is the greatest most insightful book I have ever read on how to achieve freedom.
I own thousands of books and read alot from a Anthony Robbins to zig ziglar never have I read a book that gave me so much freedom with the insights and tools that just reading the first few chapters have already taught me in this book. I gave this book and it's authors 10,000 stars thank you Owen and Richard Bandler

Good beginners book
Nicely written and thorough book for beginners to NLP. If you’ve already studied NLP or read other books this will be mostly review for you. I wish there was more of Richard Bandler in the book. His words are peppered throughout and it’s mostly owen telling stories which have little specific applicable information. I found myself skipping around and skimming often. Great book for beginners but if you’re looking for new ideas/techniques, you may be frustrated.

What is in this book
Owen Fitzpatrick reveals through the book how he was trained by Bandler in NLP and developed some skill himself even co-training with him sometimes (I think he is the youngest person to ever become an NLP trainer or something), he says he heads with his business partner the Irish Institute of NLP.He reveals he co-wrote this book with Bandler at Bandler's request. Much of the book is him applying NLP techniques and Bandler's philosophies to his own life and patients as well as his own learnings as he makes his way around the world. Periodically he meets up with Bandler with his voice recorder and asks him big questions like: How do people get stuck? How do people find meaning in their lives? and other fun stuff. He took all that info and edited it down to probably 20-40 pages of the book is direct quotes from Bandler in answer to his various questions about and people and life. There is a neat little feature in the book where hidden within the book are the 6 things Bandler says hold people back from living the kind of life they want.Owen is an entertaining writer and there are plenty of fun insights into Bandlers thoughts, some of which have been covered in his others books but many were new to me (having read all of both he and Grinders work many times it was refreshing to get some new opinions) referring to Sigmund Freud as "Sick Man Fraud" caused a chuckle.

There is nothing original about this book... but if you continue to read you will see why I gave it five stars.
Well, there is nothing original about this book, except the thing that clearly counts with full clarity in it, the universal and existence reality of freedom. Sure, I am oversimplifying what is great about this book and the accuracy of the content of the book. But again, I say the non-original thing at the beginning of my review because of the universiality of desirable feelings that the practice of these ideas would bring to all who use thewm productively shows the universiality of all things that work no matter what they are.my favorite idea in the book is having a sense of humor about yourself and *creating* security within yourself by yourself. The most powerful thing you can do for yourself is be nice to yourself and then radiate this out to others instead of the other way around, and this book just confirms my viewpoint completely.I also mean by "non-original" that accuracy is not an exclusive right of Richard Bandler's although he is accurate, but the exclusive domain of anyone honest enough to embrace and honestly, productively work with reality. Life and existence is what we make it with love, creativity and courage. From my point of view, the fact that this work is pinpoint accurate in a laser-like sense with it's insight makes it the most "boring", "hackneyed", "unoriginal" work on NLP ever in that it explains ity all honestly, realistically and with no nonsense. Get the picture? Feel my drift? Hear my point? Got it?

The only NLP book that i ever paid to get and it was worth every penny !
I have been learning NLP for 3 years. I was the guy running around with this NLP dude wont say his name in San Francisco doing all kinds of rapport, anchor, and crazy " stuff" . I have many other NLP videos, audios, and books. I have to say this book is my favorite because it deals with daily life and it is a very complete book with all kinds of NLP patterns. some people might not notice the " patterns" i was talking about, however, if you look carefully in the content , you would start to notice reading the book itself gets you in trance because of the way the author writes.the book would help you learn how to apply NLP to cure phobia. You get to learn how to feel good without reasons. you get to experience a better life.I never paid for any of my NLP product except this one. i just had to buy it because i want to show respect. this is my first review of a book because i want to let people know how good this book is so that others would have better life.get this book !!!

A Delightful Voyage
Richard Bandler has described Neuro-Linguistic Programming as an "attitude and a methodology that leaves behind a trial of techniques. While all three are represented, "Conversations" delves almost exclusively into the attitude, and philosophy. The book is largely in the form of stories, mostly those of Fitzpatrick's, woven around portions of conversations he recorded with Richard Bandler. The conversations are vintage Bandler, and go a long way to capture many of the concepts he presents in his seminars. This is a guided tour for self discovery and new ideas, not a collection of NLP techniques. There are some great exercises to go through, and there's even an Easter egg hunt. I found I didn't agree with all the concepts and world-views presented, yet I came away with a sharper sense of my own values along with some new perspectives.I read the book cover to cover, return to it from time to time. It's well worth experiencing.

I have read man books on NLP. I have found it to be the most profound I read since Frogs Into Princes. Many times throughout the book key fundamental concepts keep popping up. This book also emphasizes something I have learnt through my training with Bandler, which is that NLP is a spirit and a state of mind and not a list of recipes. Recipes are for other psychology fields. NLP is more down to earth, more practical and much more in touch with the context.

Excellent, a book I will return to
The format of this book is different, and that is what makes it so powerful. It contains transcripts of conversations between Richard Bandler and Owen Fitzpatrick, as well as relevant learning metaphors from Owen Fitzpatrick's own NLP practice. There are the usual exercises typical to NLP. What makes this book even more powerful is the way it is structured, with plenty of "open loops" whereby the learning story is left at a critical point, then lots of useful alternative perspectives are offered on the theme of each chapter, before the loop of the original [true] story is closed to satisfaction. Both Richard and Owen give insights that cut through all the ways people make life complicated when it doesn't have to be. They go straight to the core of what really matters.I found the book quite moving and wish it was required reading in schools, especially the insights on how friendships change and how to deal with bullies.I have just finished reading it as a reader. Now I'm going to re-read it as an NLP practitioner and enjoy it on an even deeper level! Most challenges in life are discussed - there will always be something in this book relevant to what is going on in your life. Any reader will find this a book they will return to again and again.

Great content, book looks used though.
Great content and fast delivery however the book looks used/second hand. Cover and spine damaged and corners bent. I believed I was buying a new book and I see nothing to the contrary in my purchase order.
