The best book to prepare to take the ASVAB. I was never a good student but with the help of this book I passed the ASVAB with good a good score my first attempt. I am now in the military and would recommend this book to anyone who is trying to join. This book has everything you need to know. Study hard and make sure you take the tests at the end of each section; that is what I did and passed the first try. Good luck!

Was the perfect study guide. For someone like myself who has been out of school for 2 years this book helped a great deal in refreshing my memory about academic topics and re-polishing my math and reading skills I ended up getting the scores I wanted and I only went over this book once. I ended up passing the book along to a buddy who wanted to enlist and he also thinks it is a great help.

This book made a huge difference for my score. 6+ years ago I took the ASVAB and scored a 52. Embarrassing, to say the least! I just took it again after 6+ years and got a 74! Now, I crammed and study 12+ hours a day, 3 days before the test (not the best study strategy) but I was much more comfortable with the test overall. The kicker is not to just read the book and say "well, I should be good to go now." If you read all of the explanations and can truly grasp the concepts then the book will have you well prepared to take on problems like the real test. Just be sure to complete practice tests until you can get majority of the questions right before you just hope for the book to magically give you a higher test score. In other words, get your money's worth out of the thing and it will definitely make you better prepared. I gave it 4 stars because I noticed a few types of questions on the ASVAB that are never mentioned in this book at all so it may be a bit outdated. It still helped me raise my score significantly so I have no real complaints. Worth the money if you're ready to take it for what it's worth.

Best book to get for the ASVAB. I am using this book to help me with the AFOQT. This book is great to assist if you need a refresher course for math, science etc. If you are taking the ASVAB please get this book. It is amazing!

Bought this for a friend who was joining the Army. Based on his preliminary ASVAB (the cheesy 10 minute test), they predicted he would get a 42-52 on the ASVAB. I gave him this book and he scored 62! I have to conclude this book gave him at least a 10 point boost on his score.

Although the book has a very productive flow with an introduction to practice test to answer explanations then into the material followed by more practice tests, the actual test I took had almost nothing to do with the material covered in the book aside from the basic mathematics.

Great price for an excellent product. It serves the exact purpose for which it was purchased. I would buy it again from this seller and have already recommended it to others.

In the first ten minutes of using this, we found 2 very obvious mistakes in the answers. We will no longer use it, we want our son to do well on his ASVAB. We would not not recommend. However, Barron's Flash Cards are more accurate and useful.
