Fantastic - except for the instructions
Our son loves this tractor! He drives lap after lap around the house and literally squeals with joy each time he dumps the contents of the scoop. Pedal power means no batteries & uses up some of his ample energy! The (German) engineering and material quality is great. As other reviewers have said, the only negative is instructions are far from simple and make it easy to do something irreversible in the wrong order. If you'd be happy doing something like changing a car's starter motor then you'll be fine; otherwise find someone else to put this together it for you.I ran though the whole assembly process without tightening any bolts and without hammering on the axle caps. That worked really well and saved a lot of time in the end.Top Tips: 1) The rear axle comes assembled. When you assemble the front and trailer axles *leave off one axle cap* until after you have assembled everything else. Put the caps on as the very last thing before the stickers. 2) The lump of plastic the front axle attaches to *cannot* be fitted once the wheels are in place so fit it first and then hammer on the axle caps. 3) The top-hat shaped plastic spacers for the trailer wheels are the serrated-edge ones not the smoother ones (the smooth ones are tools for supporting the axle caps when you tap them home) 4) The top-hat shaped plastic spacer used in the wheel end of the steering looks like one piece in the picture but actually is made up of the short plastic tube and one of the 4 plastic washers. 5) When you assemble the front and trailer axles *leave off one axle cap* until after you have assembled everything else. Put the caps on as the very last thing before the stickers. I know I said that already but its really important! :)Incidentally the ad says "Kettler" but if you are looking for a Rolly KID toys tractor this is one. (or at least the box ours arrived in was branded "Rolly" all over)

If only I had my own tractor...
So I splurged. I found this tractor on sale... seriously on sale, after having priced it upwards of $199. I can't believe I found it for $[...] here at Amazon. I expected it to arrive in about 3 weeks but received notification that it had shipped the next day! And my FREE shipping came via FedEx! Ordered on Monday... arrived on Thursday. Fantastic! So from the very start I was extremely excited about this product and I hadn't even opened the box!Okay... the instructions were tricky, but I'd been forewarned by these reviews, so I expected it. I arranged the individual sheets of instruction based on what order it looked like they might go in and started. I quickly discovered that each page had its own bag of parts. That helped. :) And I noticed that each picture had what looked like part numbers, but they were actually 'go in this order' numbers... so that simplified things a bit. There were a couple tricky parts to identify... but going back to the part where each page had its own parts bag helped solve that particular issue. It took about an hour before Joe was ready to climb on and go. :)Again, because I'd read the reviews, I didn't expect this tractor to work in the heavy clay soil we have here and made a plan to have a softer compost pile for him to dig in. Age wise, he's only 2 years and 3 months old and hasn't figured out the pedaling yet, but that's a skill we can work on. He LOVES to push it and loves to pull it by the bucket... and can scoot it with his feet just fine. His main concern was that bucket and figuring out how to lower it to the ground and how to dump things out. That was his goal for the first couple days.I can already tell this tractor is going to give him many, many hours of fun, not just this summer, but I imagine for several summers to come. Now to build a little tractor shelter to park it in. :)

well made
This is a well made product for the cost and does take awhile to assemble it, however there are two things to consider when buying this I think. 1. It turned out to be smaller than I thought for my son and he just turn 4yrs of age, 2. My son can pedal the tractor on his own, but with effort so he becomes tired quickly. So some things to think about if you are looking to buy this tractor..

Missing pieces. Impossible assembly directions.
I bought this for my nephew and just sat for nearly 2 hours trying to put it together. The instructions are only in picture form so you have to guess which pieces are needed. Also, I didn't get all the pieces. The box arrived damaged, but I didn't have time to figure out if anything was missing until I tried to put to together as there isn't a list of pieces. The piece that's missing is whatever holds the front bucket up so it is just hanging down. I'm very disappointed. It was too hard to put together to take it apart to send back, but I will definitely not be making similar purchases in the future.

Amazing sturdy life-like bulldozer!
This bulldozer is amazing! My grandson absolutely loves it. It is sturdy and it works well indoors, or on any sidewalk, driveway, patio, or concrete surface outdoors. He is 3 and it fits him well, and is very easy to operate. He loves to transport his favorite toys in the front scoop and even has transported his friends in the trailer in the back. Super toy. Also, he gets great exercise pedaling it up & down the sidewalk. He is the envy of the neighborhood with his cool "real" bulldozer!

Toddler hit
This went down a storm on the birthday of a three year old. However, assembly, was only slightly more complicated than the building of a full sized one would have been. The instructions are awful: lots of really useful Health and Safety stuff like advice not to use on a railway line or the edge of a cliff or swimming pool, but illustrations too tiny to make out - even with a magnifying glass. Thankfully, there is always YouTube. It looks sturdy and should last the course.

Bel trattorino
