ECOGARD XA4358 Premium Engine Air Filter Fits Mazda RX-7 1.3L 1986-1995

perfect fit and quality. bought two for my 88' RX-7 (for future - just in case).

I bought this filter for a 1988 Mazda RX-7 convertible. The air filter is impossible to find through anyone else. All the big filter manufacturing companies, WIX, NAPA, Fram, Baldwin, have stopped making filters for this car since there are so few of them in the world. Ecogard still makes them.The quality seems to be good and the material looks to be similar to the WIX and Fram filters that I was previously using. If I get extremely nit picky I would say that the fit seems to be ever so slightly looser from side to side, but the seal on top when the housing lid is put on is perfectly tight. The top seal definitely makes it tight so no unfiltered air will get through.I am happy with the air filter and believe it will work well. I have owned this car for 27 years and plan on keeping it for many more years. I am now ordering several more filters so that I will have plenty for the future. The filters are hard to find so you better get them while you can if you have the same car.***** Attention Amazon packing crew, don't put multiple heavy items in the same box with lite weight items on the bottom. The airfliter box was crushed, but the air filter was OK.

The OEM air filter is no longer available. I was very lucky to find a filter that matched the size.
