Smaller but thicker than OEM
My CPU fan failed & I was able to quickly get this delivered along with another. However this one (my image on left) was a overall smaller yet A COUPLE MILLIMETERS TALLER than the OEM fan from my Dell inspiron 15 (3000 series) 3585. For that reason I chose not to chance it because there are such tight tolerances in getting the case and PC cover snapped back into place. The bolt holes seemed to line up, but I didn't want to risk it not closing back up. Also the exhaust vent was different than the Dell version. Luckily I ordered another one at the same time from another brand, which looked like a closer fit so that's the one I went with & it's working (and looks just like the Dell OEM version pictured on the right). The one in this listing may work, I'm just saying its quite a bit different and wasn't worth the hassle of bolting it in when the other looked almost exactly like the stock fan and is working great.

Easy install
Very simple install. Works as expected. Did not give 5 star as its only been a few weeks.

Fixed my Dell Inspiron
The laptop kept beeping at boot up about the fan. But when I looked, fan was spinning. Apparently it would only spin slowly. After replacing with this fan, laptop is happy.

It's too tall - causes case to bulge
Purchased for Dell 3595. Putting it next to the OEM fan, you can see that this fan is taller, which causes the laptop case to bulge.

This fan works perfectly for Dell fan noise
This fan works perfectly for Dell fan noise, my fan sounded like it had marbles, now i can't hear anything at all not even a normal fan whir, it's silent.
