They do what they're intended to do
It's literally thread tape. As long as it doesn't fall apart and it makes threads more slippery so you can tighten them more it has done it's job, which these did. Works as intended.

Hey - it's teflon plumbing tape. Great price (especially compared to the Big Box stores near me) and arrived within two days. I use lots of this on my in-ground swimming pool equipment so I ordered the 10-pack. This will last me awhile but when I start to run out, I will re-order this again.
