Good option under £100
Was really tight on my budget having just bought the samsung uhd tv but i am an audiophile and couldn't have watched netflix etc on that tv speaker. This seemed to be a reasonable option under £100 and i was looking to give jbl a try for sometime now. so far, i am liking it. Has enough rumble/bass to enhance the action sequences. The dialogues are clear too. Not something that will shake your room but this is plenty loud enough and i always find myself lowering the volume during action scenes to avoid waking up the neighbors. Don't look elsewhere. Good enough for any living room. I would have bought bose 300 soundbar if i had the budget if not then bose tv speaker but this will do for now. I still like music better on my bose soundlink mini se though. But i am satisfied with the purchase. Makes watching action movies a treat. !!!Update: 15 months of usage now. Still does the job. Again bass is not room shaking but it good enough for small and medium size living rooms. I would soon upgrade to sonos beam gen 2 and sub mini. But i am glad i gave jbl a chance and it didn't disappoint at all. Connect it with a hdmi cable that came with it and it definitely enhances your tv viewing experience. Thanks.

As described - used but as new - good price for its performance
***Update*** I’ve purchased a second “as new” used warehouse deal from Amazon. The reason for this is I have a cheap portable projector screen (tripod type) for use with a Xgimi Horizon Pro projector (excellent projector btw) and needed something I could quickly set-up that was small but packed a *reasonable* punch. Typically, I’m using the projector in the main bedroom. I had considered (& even ordered from Amazon) a Creative Stage 360 (the cheapest Atmos soundbar money can buy as far as I knew) which worked out about £40 less than a warehouse special JBL 5 Multibeam but I had 2nd thoughts thinking that the JBL would be the better (& more convenient solution as there’s no wired passive sub) - so I cancelled the Creative & ordered a 2nd JBL 5 Multibeam. Glad I did too - as I hadn’t realised that I hadn’t set the 42” LG Oled Tv or the AppleTv 4k up to use Bitstream rather than pcm - subsequently meaning I had not been listening to the JBL at its best (at least with the best sound source). What a difference. So for the bedrm / smallish rm (say 4m x 4m) it genuinely sounds very good (note we have a Sennheiser Ambeo in the living room with an 83” OLED so I know what a decent soundbar sounds like & had 2 high quality Marantz Atmos setup’s at my old house each well north of £2k each) so; you know for <£200 this is pretty f*cking good! Seriously.Btw, as to my 2nd Warehouse deal; even better - this time it literally looked brand new, was in an outer Amazon box - I genuinely could not split it from a brand new one - except for a small “Amazon warehouse” sticker on the box. Original manufacturer clear circular seals unbroken (although this was £196 whereas my original one was £187). Remember to calibrate the soundbar in the room of choice! Enough now …. my original review words follow:I don't like taking too much of a risk with Amazon's warehouse deals but this was very well priced (£187) and stated it was “as new”. Whilst the packaging was a little damaged (there was another for sale that said its' packaging was damaged) mine wasn't supposed to be - plus it shipped in JBL's normal box I.e. Amazon didn't re-pack it which didn't help HOWEVER - its more than ok for a study under an LG 42" OLED in my case which is used as a PC monitor on a gaming system (& backup for work on the opposing side of my study) so my expectations weren't too high. The small LED display on the front is very useful and whilst the remote could be more practical (there are hidden features e.g. adjusting bass - where you have to hold a button for 5 seconds & then press volume) it’s more than enough for the job. HDMI CEC works perfectly so the TV remote works perfectly . In terms of its Atmos, virtual Atmos rather; don't expect too much - it is what it is (it is projecting sound rather than emitting it from dedicated ideally place Atmos speakers) as it's quite a small unit BUT it really is 1/2 decent for a small room and sounds great with music. As you’ll read above, despite thinking I’d set the TV eARC up correctly- I actually hadn’t - so post writing my review (on my second purchase of one of these I realised my error) the subsequent results were better. For its small footprint, ease of use and above all performance vs price, this is pretty neat.

Good quality and good bass.
I bought this as I’ve had past JBL in car speakers. This has brought back some nice rumbling bass memories. Sound quality is really good. Set up was easy. Separate bass speaker is a nice looking piece. Remote works well. But, omg! The quality of the sound from Jurassic park was amazing and then I played an old bass track (that I appear to use as my standard for good bass) mr bombastic (No laughing) anyway bass is really good - crisp and rumbles well. The volume isn’t as loud as I wanted or expected but then I always liked the noise as loud as poss and as I’m now an adult so a total of 300 output is very good. There is only three settings for the bass which is adequate. Overall I’m very pleased and satisfied. Worth every penny.

Worth the money
While it's not really a 9.1 channel system (it's 5.1), the unique feature is the detachable shoulder speakers that can be placed apart to provide a real surround sound environment. The detachable shoulder speakers last almost 8-9 hours on a full charge (simply by connecting them back into the bar) that's usually between 3.0-3.5 hours. The subwoofer is fantastic, and the Bluetooth connectivity is incredibly quick, with no skips/lags. Very easy setup, and feature rich for those inclined to customise settings. Overall, worth every penny. Also comes with holding plates in case you want to screw the bar into the wall.

You get what you pay for
I use this in a home cinema set-up wireless connection from a Firestick plugged into a projector.I'd considered much more expensive options for sound but ultimately decided to try this as I have other JBL speakers which have never disappointed me.The soundbar was well packaged and damage free. Build quality was exactly as expected from JBL - excellent. There was a wall bracket included with easy to follow instructions. I installed it on a plasterboard wall under the projector screen. The sound quality from this is excellent for the room the speaker is used in. It connects easily to the Firestick with no sync issues at all.I have no negatives to give. It works well and was a great price.
