The universal joint boot is suitable for grease packing with both intermittent and continuously rated joints, and is made of neoprene for high tensile strength and resistance to abrasion and tearing. Neoprene is compatible for use with ozone, sunlight, ammonia, Freon, and some hydrocarbons, and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range from -60 to +220 degrees F. The boot slides over the joint and is secured into position on either grooved or smooth joints with the nylon ties (included). The boot can be used in pairs to protect double universal joints.
