Ninja Foodi Smart XL Grill Cookbook: New Tasty Recipes for Beginners and Advanced Users

We were excited to get cooking with our new Ninja Smart XL Grill and I saw this on Amazon with good reviews. The back cover stated that it is more than just a cookbook, it also provides set up instructions, care and maintenance tips, pro advice on accessories to keep nearby, and go-to grilling techniques. It literally does none of that.There are no set up instructions. Most of the recipes don't tell you to use the basket, grill plate or the cooking pot. Also, there is not one word on care and maintenance, advice on accessories nor grilling techniques. Those statements are completely false .The front cover uses the Ninja logo, so I stupidly assumed it may be put out by the company. It definitely is not. Also on the cover is "500". What does that mean? I again stupidly assumed it meant there is 500 recipes in the book. There is not.There are no pictures with the recipes, which isn't a big deal, but it would have been nice.The nutritional values stated in the book are certainly not accurate. My wife and I are on a Keto diet, so we are very knowledgeable on carbohydrates in food. The Lemon Pepper Chicken recipe in this book, for example, calls for Lemon Pepper, chicken breasts, table salt and granulated garlic. Chicken has zero carbs and the seasonings are minimal yet the book states there are 35 grams of carbs per serving! Outrageous!This is being returned immediately and I will research my next book much more. Don't make the mistake I did in buying this one.

This is the strangest cookbook that I have ever seen. The apple pie recipe gives no list of ingredients but the instructions say to add the sugar, cinnamon...but no amounts.Another recipe for some bagel concoction lists ingredients like coconut flakes and a couple others and the instructions says to flip the sausages. No mention of sausages anywhere in the recipe except they want you to flip them. Huh? Really bizarre. It reads like a bad translation from another language into English.

I'm excited to try recipes since I just got my ninja foodi grill xl but only putting three stars because literally the second recipes calls for an ingredient of tator tots but then has absolutely nowhere in the actual recipe of using tator tots. They have a recipe for Brussels sprouts under vegan/ vegatarian chapter but the recipe calls for BACON!! Thats just some of the screw ups. Also if ur hoping for pictures like me who is very visual person. This book has zero pictures. And the pics it does have are black and white. Granted im still greatful for it. I think they could do a way better job of displaying the book.it looks so sharp from the outside. But not so much inside. Also in my book it looks like they ran out of ink in some spots which makes it look cheap.

The media could not be loaded.  Looks like it was copied from the internet, printed on cheap paper, and had a nice cover added. No photos with the recipes. The few photos it does have are not in color. Repeat recipes throughout the book. Not many recipes. Large font and pages that are mostly blank. Not worth the money at all!

There are several books that look very similar to this one and they all share the same recipes, some in the exact same order as if the cover was changed and nothing else. Some the recipes are in a different order but it is the exact same recipes. I'm surprised at Amazon or Kindle or whomever allowed these because they are not different cookbooks. Most on Amazon at the top of the picture of the book is says take a peek inside. Well, take that peek and look at the recipes - they are the same. A real rip off in my opinion and I'm asking for my money back.

Great price for diverse group of recipes. Well worth money. Only issue is it’s rather bland. The only picture in the entire book is from the photo I snapped. Additionally, and this may be a person preference, I think all modern day cookbooks should have a gloss or water resistance covering on the pages to wipe off spills. The material is made of construction paper and will get ruined with any liquid material hitting the surface.

An electronic cookbook HAS to have access to a table of contents, but this book has that grayed out when you click on the Go to menu, not allowing selection of that "table of contents." I was able to make a bookmark & access it through the "Show notes and marks." I know this can easily be fixed in the coding of this e-book & hope it will be addressed in the near future.
